ID??? I'm thinking some kind of Panaeolus??
Anway, it was the only thing I found pinning in the field while I was out last, so I brought some samples home and gave them some humidity to grow. Doesn't look like they get much bigger than they are (small), but the one picture definitely shows a purple spore print. I'm sure they're not active, but any idea what they are?????

Hmm, that is really cool looking. I think it's Deconica coprophila.

Yup! Looks that way:
Quote:
Deconica coprophila, commonly known as the dung-loving Psilocybe, is a species of mushroom in the Strophariaceae family. First described as Agaricus coprophilus by Jean Baptiste François Pierre Bulliard in 1793, it was transferred to the genus Psilocybe by Paul Kummer in 1871. In the late 2000s, several molecular studies showed that the Psilocybe was polyphyletic, and the non-bluing (non-hallucinogenic) species were transferred to Deconica.
Now if only I can find its Psilocybe containing cousins....

Are you inferring that the little girl is your cousin and contains psilocybin?

I mean....she might...I know damn well she contains DMT.
But I was more referencing my feelings towards not finding actives....again. It's too hot to be hiking 4 miles for Deconica Coprophila, damnit.

Found some gyms today. Really thought it was to hot for these guys. Found them in the same place as a previous patch although this time the patch is alot smaller and I was a little late. Although these guys are some of my favorites.

The weather is different in every place on earth. It might seem relevant to you, but no one else cares. If everyone posted about it when it rained, the forum would be full of mostly useless information, making the mushroom pictures and good conversations harder to find.
The forum rules are mostly there to keep posts on topic and relevant.

ok guys im pretty excited right now,i just drove by one of my spots that yielded Nata my last outing, and this time there seems to be pan cyans everywhere!! i was so tempted to stop and hop the fence and take one so i could be 100% sure that is what i was seeing.
Question::what are the chances that i was lookin at pan cyans??they were soo white, like ghost white, not to bigg either maybe 4-5inches tall and the biggest cap seen was like 2 maybe even 3inches wide.any help before i journey on will be much appreciated;)
i will be posting some nice pics tonight regardless,I'll be sure to take some habitat pics aswell, cause i know how everyone enjoys those.this should be a nice change from cubes for sure!!
