Dang bloodworm looks like you went out on near the last possible day to pick those eh? Still great. Though fully matured and huge caps

i think these might be from previous rains.
i'm not so sure that the latest storms caused this growth.
i think the cooler temps = longer growing times.
check the fields again in 2-3 days...
just an idea.

550g wet, would like some experts here to take a look.  Pan cyans, perhaps a few pan species in this find.  I"ll get them all lined up, but wanted to get a quick post up for some opinions.  Best find I've ever had, all came out of one new spot:grin::shocked::eek::mushroom2:

All of those are Panaeolus papilionaceus.  Panaeolus cyanescens has lighter colors, especially in the stem, and stains blue where damaged.

Could any of them possibly be poisonous? Prints and more pics later.

They grow out of cow shit, too? All found in cow shit in the woods with sunlight coming through along side a pasture.

LOL thought we hit the mother load:thumbdown:

Is it possible to find that many pan cyans in that quantity in a field?

Yes if you're very lucky. You don't see hauls like that often though without visiting a few spots.

For me, typically, Panaeolus paps' always pop up in my main field,
where theres heavy leaves.
One thing i can tell you, is you just begg that stem to turn blue. It is actually a purple/red color. Easy to mistake if youre not used to copes.
Copes would be whiter with a more distinguished spot on the top.
The stems would be brighter and the blue is unmistakable.

I notice these seem to pop up about 2 or 3 days before i see cubes.
or sometimes same time.

My field, i see the same thing like so,, huge amounts on one pattie,
Wierd part is.. i have only ever found 1 MARK THAT 1 cope in my field.
in the 4 years hunting this main location. Hundreds of pounds of cubes im sure. Wierd right?
Nice pictures.
