Do you think a person can learn this shit from like the internet for free or does it take some sort of personal instruction?

I've of a wilderness survival handbook that is pretty well explained and illustrated. It has a section on this subject. I can prob shah a pic of the skinning/hide removal sections. I haven't practised it meself alone but I'm pretty sure after reading it twice I could handle it no prob independently. Also displays how to tan a hide as well pretty good shit and the author is seemingly quite knowledgeable. hope I can help ya bro if you still would like a little info , maybe you've found it and I just brought this thread ALIVEEEEE! 1L

Theres not much to it, after you skin the animal you need to get all of the little pieces of meat cut off of it. If you cant do it right away you can rub salt on it, roll it up and put it in the fridge. When you have the time take it out and throw it in a mix of borax and water. This will help keep the hair from falling out. You can soak for a day or up to a week. Then take it out and let it drain, once its not soping wet stretch it out nail to a board and rub tanning solution on it and let dry for a couple days. if you have anymore questions pm me because i probably wont follow this thread.. Good luck and happy hunting
