 First time peruvian torch trip report....

I had my first experience with peruvian torch yesterday and I figured I would post this report for others who might be interested. I made a tea using 50grams of dried material. I have been doing a lot of research prior to my experiment and I was expecting this tea to taste bad, but holy shit this stuff was horrible.
Let me say that I have an iron stomach and have never had any problems with eating or drinking anything... and ive done it all. This tea made me gag with every sip. I had read it tasted like vomit, and I now know that this description is dead accurate.
I boiled it for 4 hours adding more water as the level got lower, stirring it occasisonally. I did three "pulls" during the 4 hours of cooking using a tee shirt as a strainer and then putting the cactus back in pot and adding water. I had between 6 and 8 ounces of brown green tea when I was finished.
It took me an hour to drink this stuff... I was gagging and almost vomiting with each sip. I finally held my nose and just chugged it down (I should have just done this from the start, I know). I then ate a few mouthfulls of the actual remaining cactus mush which was even harder than drinking the tea.
By the time I finished drinking the drink I noticed some feelings of the drug, which I thought were placebo. Colors seemed brighter and it kinda looked like someone was playing with a dimmer switch, again I assumed this was placebo as everything I had read said it took some time to kick in.
Within an hour I was feeling it. My cousin was going to "babysit" me due to my low tolerance to psychedelics (mainly shrooms-small amounts really fuck me up). He wanted to go to the video store, so we jumped in his car and headed out. At this point I was laughing and felt extremely happy and pumped up. I would compare this to MDMA.
My legs were shaking and I was constantly moving even though I was sitting down. We got to the video store and upon walking inside the colors inside the store were awesome and actors on the dvds covers almost jumped off of their cases. I was laughing a lot but managed to keep a low profile even chatting with a women that worked there.
We headed back to my house and he went upstairs to eat. At about two hours in I vomited. 3 big wretches and I was done puking for the night. I was extremely fucked up at this point, and I knew that I hadnt peaked yet because it was getting more and more intense.
I layed down on my living room floor and had my first closed eye visuals of the night. Pink and purple clouds were visible and I could see light flashing all around. I opened my eyes and decided I was going to smoke some weed. I took two bong rips and headed upstairs to my cousins theater room. He has a projector set up with internet access. He set up some fractals on the projector and after smoking a little more I sat in a recliner put my feet up and proceeded to trip out falling deep into the fractalization patterns on the huge screen. It was amazing.
Halfway through the trip I did a couple of whipets and they boosted the high up extremely. I havent laughed so hard in a long time, and even as I write this my stomach still hurts from laughing so hard.
The trip was awesome and I am glad I did the whole 50 grams. I was going to do 30, and offered 20 to my cousin but he didnt want to try any. It was intense at times, but compared to a shroom trip it was totally manageable.
I would suggest doing 50 grams if you want to really feel the effects of cactus. But being that it was my first experience I dont know what kind of effect 30 grams would have been.
Well thats my report. I would have liked to get outside and explore nature, but the weather was crappy and the clouds covered all the stars at night. I intend to do this drug again in the near future, but will be using an extraction method as the taste of that tea will never get out of my mind. I dont think I could do that to myself again....

Sounds awesome. I'm gonna get some when I get my own place. How much does cactus powder typically go for online?
Also, I've heard that if you crush up and shove mint leaves up your nose, it kills a lot of the nasty taste, and chewing mint afterward will kill the after taste.(others say that eating bit of mustard afterward will cover any after-taste as well, dunno if this is true, tho) and taking Dyphenhydramine/dramamine(50mg)prior will quell the nausea felt during the trip.
I have read two trip reports describing this. One is about San Pedro, another about Ayahuasca(dmt/maoi brewed tea, which from what I've heard, also tastes pretty horrible, but not as bad as cactus)
I would love to try this sometime, as from all of the trip reports I've read, and folks I've talked to about this, none of them describe ever having a bad trip on Mescaline, even at high doses. Maybe an intense come up, but the trip itself has always been described as very mellow, which makes me want to try it even more. 
If I do get some, I think I may just get a whole dried cactus, and use all of it except the top, which I'll plant to grow more.(shit can get expensive after all)

I would suggest doing an extraction, as that is the way I am going next time. There are all kinds of teks online and on this forum as well.
50 grams of anything is hard to consume in a short period, but this stuff is really bad, lol.
As far as the naseua goes, I didnt really feel nauscious until right before I puked, and then it was gone for the rest of the night. Id say about 5-10 minutes of the entire 8+hour trip I felt sick.
It was a an awesome time except for the consumption and the throwing up parts.....

I'm thinking of doing an alcohol extraction with isopropyl. That seems to be the easiest/cheapest method with less things you need to do, as it's impossible for me to do the A/B method due to living with a parent.(I'm 20, mind you)
Let me know your opinion/experience, tho, because I want to ensure a fully psychedelic experience, and I'm planning on using Bridgesii powder instead of Pachanoi, or P. Torch. I hear the powder dissolves/metabolizes better.
The fresh cacti, however, have the added benefit of being able to grow a clone, tho I hear it can take some time for it to grow to adequate length.
I hear conflicting reports. Some say evaporating it increases potency but causes you to lose some of the mescaline during the extraction. Others say different. Some experience more psychedelia off the brew, others prefer extraction. I'm not too sure, but I'm thinking extraction seems like the way to go.

Ive recently got some bridgesii, and totally recommend it for anyone interested in trying cactus.
Fuck pedro and torch. Bridgesii is the best!
Experiment for yourself, and when you learn the truth, come back to this post and let me know i was right! lol.
