"Abort! Code Red!"
That's what they are saying.
I'm thinking I will need to automate humid FAE to get it right. Can't keep enough air moving and maintain humidity.
Same specs as last time. I saw a better pinset this time. But they are aborting. Drying up. I re calibrated my hydrometer. It was pretty much perfect. I'm getting 85-95% humidity depending on the ambient humidity and recent manual fanning. I changed out my room fan for a humidifier.
I'm thinking of trying the greenhouse approach next time I fruit these.

I have PC fans moving air thru my greenhouse 24/7. So much so that I keep my little ultrasonic humidifier around med-blast 24/7 also.
Aim for near saturation humidity. I keep it 97%-100% in my Fc lest the casing layers dry out so fast I could mist them ten times a day or more, and that's a sure sign that thin mushrooms would dry also.
Unless I keep my humidity major high they all dry up. If you start exchanging tons of air you have to keep the humidity 99%-100%, because 95% humidity will dry them out more quickly with lots of FAE than the same humidity with low FAE.
I have to meter check all the shelves in my greenhouse because the humidity varies. Up top it can be 100% while 80% on the bottom shelf.

Exactly. Thanks for the input
I'm going to look into getting the supplies for a mini greenhouse.

I let the tub sit without fanning for a few days. I soaked the casing layer last night and started fanning. I saw around half a dozen pins this morning. I'm going to fan less this time to hopefully stop the casing layer from drying out so rapidly.
I'm thinking I was moving too much air last time.

My approach with my greenhouse is to have the ultrasonic humidifier blaring full-blast when the fans are moving air through. They're all on the same timer running 15 on 45 off at night when lights are off and 15 on 30 off during the day as the lights reduce the humidity more quickly. After they all shut-off at once, the humidity is left at the perfect level throughout and holds it very well, just starting to drop below optimium when the airflow and humidifier kick back on. This gets tons of air exchange while having mist-saturated air so that it doesn't dry the casing layer out. I don't have to mist very often at all. I can walk away for days and it usually be quite fine.
I think the mushrooms like the quiet periods between, too. When the automation shuts off suddenly I become very sensitive to their presence, even though I can't really see them thru the green plastic. It makes me feel very serene. Galindoi is a very lucid and spiritual organism.

I've been waiting for that to happen on one of my trays and me catch it. Not happened yet.
CLONE THAT BITCH for ultimate justice. Both the stone and the mushroom. The mushroom will contain a genetic set both for stones and for the nice fruits.
One of the sector isolates taken from both will be the same genetic set so you have great odds! Test them all if you want to make sure you get the best one. But they'll probably all perform well. I guarantee you that an isolate from that which can perform in both optimally [clones alone rule!] will be a treasured possession for years and the most fruitful fungal organism you ever have the delight of seeing.

Looking good Wing!
Are you misting the sides? It sucks when you get a decent flush and they are all drooped over the next day because they got dry...

Thanks guys
Yes I'm misting the sides and also misting the casing, being very careful not to wet any of the pins. It seems to give me the best results so far.

Me too JD. My MS syringe is almost gone and the last flush aborted. The tub before this only produced a few very light prints.

If you need to restart, then let me know.
I got crazy prints, huge and very dark.
A clone would be better...I should have been making slants then, but am since I grew this.
Take care,
