Post a video that you consider be spiritual, whatever you think that means. Post the lyrics too if u want.
My roomie from india showed me this one, origial reggae from India.
Apache Indian Om Namuh shivaya
Lyrics Depot is your source of lyrics to Om Numah Shivaya by Apache Indian. Please check back for more Apache Indian lyrics. Om Numah Shivaya Lyrics Artist: Apache Indian (Buy Apache Indian CDs) Album: Karma
Send "Om Numah Shivaya" Ringtone to your Cell
Quote:
Jai Om Numah Shivaya
Jai Om Numah Shivaya
Intro Well everybody would you focus your mind Search for the truth and you will find Good spirit and strength from within That fights against all sin
Jai Om Numah Shivaya
Verse I shall walk across the land that has been chosen and I shall climb the mountain so high, I shall go across the sea and across the ocean and sing with the bird in the sky, Its only Jah up above man who leads the way under whose shadow I abide, Me say you're running and you're running and you're running away but from yourself you know you can¹t hide
Jai Om Numah Shivaya
Well everybody would rise and focus your mind Search for the truth and learn to be kind Everybody would you fight against the evil you find Tell you people about the 'Religion of your Mind¹
Jai Om Numah Shivaya
Verse 2 He who dwells in the secret place of the most high Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty I Everyday I Rise...Rise up above their lies But still them want fight I and I Everyday I Rise ...Rise with my spirits well high Ca you know Jah Jah guide I and I
Jai Om Numah Shivaya
Interesting comment here, "most of jamaican culture is ACTUALLY INDIAN CULTURE that was introduced by indian slaves brought by british troops. Ganja names after the river ganga was first smoked by indian sadhus introduced to africans in jamaica. Regae is based on the repetitive notes found in indian RAGA music...thug culture was a religous cult in india, known as the Thugees, hand signals, flags, colors, martial laws, were all part and parcel of Thugee culture of india." never knew.
... im really bored btw

not traditionally spiritual but i think he talks about very deep subjects
"because I was born into it, I have never lost my fluid" think he's talking about power and energy there...maybe kundalini type concept
and at the end he's chanting "i'm another man, i'm another man" which to me could only be about ego loss

that was cool, yes good lyrics.
the one i posted is of that kid earl sweatshirt who is actually in that other video i posted about the dark side of awakening and all that bizz. Well, this song gave me so much hope because it showed me that Earl is actually free! Like, when I listened to it it was really like my room filled with light and inspiration, I stayed up all night just on a natural high.

yeah i think there's a tendency in general to idolize musicians and make them into more than what they are actually appearing as. i've done this in the past anyways when i was more into music - and likewise made my favourite artist (jeff buckley) out to be some amazing enlightened being too (though his singing sure was good )

Yeah, I know what you mean. I hear lyrics, put my own meaning to them, and figure thats what the guy intended and he is definitely enlightened. I mostly do this with Bob Marley.

All real music is spiritual. Arabic music inside a desert tent under the night sky, Balkan traditional dances, Tibetan drums and symbols, Australian didgeridoos, African djembes, American folk songs.
And other hymnals from the soul...

Odd Future is a very deep movement going on with these kids in California and on the internet, the more you look into it the more you learn about them, they are on some next level shit. I feel that Earl is free not just because of the lyrics but because everything I've learned about him from listening to his and his stepbrother Tyler the Creators has painted a very detailed picture, one that I relate to closely. Like he is free in the way that I want to be free. I don't want to be free the way Mooji is I don't believe that following the path he has made available to me is exactly what I am going to do.

Bob Marley is a great person to look up too. Odd Future just happens to be in my own age group and doing it right now. Radiohead are some grizzled veterans that I really take inspiration from also. Same with the band GRIZZLY BEAR for that matter:

Water Shows the Hidden Heart Water shows the hidden heart From the city of Constellations to the wanderer and a Place of Rains he journeys on... ...The City of hesitation and doubt the Island of the house the colour of the sea the Plain of Mementoes he journeys on to find his love... ...the Valley of lost time the City of End and Endlessness the Isle of Revenents he journeys on... ...the City of Solitudes the City of the distance from you the City of Words of blue and yellow and red and green he journeys on to find his love...
...where the road takes him through the City of Sleep the thinking that does not end is within him Then he dreams the road takes him this man who is searching it brings him in silence through the night
where the Cities that do not Exist, exist It brings him in silence through the night close to the City of Realisations; it is here one finds the way... ...Mount Orison the City of Days the Tree of the lost he journeys on... ...north of his love a road through a valley of darkness the islands that are not of this world he journeys on to find his love...
It is a long way through darkness to the way of the eremite the eremite sings of the world and of the journey of love, which is not lost in eternity ...the Valley where the moon is caught in the trees water shows the hidden heart endlong into midnight he journeys on... ...the parade of day the Room of Books where the winds come to him and say...

Find me in the backyard, sailing my kettle. Playing poker with insects, wearing a cup of tea. A hat of brimstone, yellow-crimson, looking like a giant flea. Forever my friend: so my energy this day I lend, I practice faking it to pretend, and become the actor in the end. My folly hangs on the trees like leaves and drips in the falling breeze, the tock of a minute here shakes me to my knees.

Somewhat less blissful. But i think this track demonstrates how strong music can still be with so much space. (I guess that's kind of subjective )

Although this may not have been intended to be spiritual, it arose from a combination of the spiritual music of two great cultures (Persia and India). One time I was listening to this while walking outside on a cold and snowy day. I felt like I was thousands of miles away, walking through a pass in the Hindu Kush mountains.

Brian Eno's Ambient 4 record is very spiritual music for me.
I find this song in particular on the album to be healing and cathartic.
Here's the entire record for anyone interested:
-------------------- "So much style without substance
So much stuff without style
It's hard to recognize the real thing
It comes along once in a while
Like a rare and precious metal beneath a ton of rock
It takes some time and trouble to separate from the stock
You sometimes have to listen to a lot of useless talk"

I all ambient music, especially Eno.
To me, ambient/drone is the closest that human-created sound can get to the vibratory essence that is reality.
Pure sound = pure being.

Nicely put. Eno's ambient work (referring to his discography) I feel especially transcends the usual patterns and structures of songwriting. I mean I'm sure there exists his own concepts and framework regarding the creation of the music, but listening to it is beyond.
