I'll repeat, there is a big difference between loud noise at 2am and 8pm. Don't move into an apartment that faces a public space (at least for the other residents of the building) if you are such a delicate sleeper.

If someone told me to quiet up, because I'm talking too loudly during the day I would simply laugh in their face and carry on. I don't deal with unreasonable people, and it is simply unreasonable to expect silence so early in the evening.

and no, it is the responsibility of the parents to provide an environment that is suitable for their children, or else don't have any. Don't expect everyone around you to change their lives for your children.

i'm much more tolerant if it's before 9-10. but still, total mayhem during the week is not reasonable when you have to wake up early or have kids that are sleeping. 8pm is close to bedtime for some people, especially if you're up at 4am to catch a train like i did for years. i do agree that you have to be selective about where you choose to live, but that doesn't mean that you have the right to do whatever you want in a place where people live, especially if you don't even live there.

i'm not demanding library voices, just a little consideration. i don't think it's unreasonable to expect people to control their volume when they're hanging out like that. paying tenants have a right to peace and quiet. like i said, it's not the bar.

i've had to say something once or twice, and that was when i lived in a duplex. the boyfriend of a neighbor was outside bumping his stuff in the driveway no more than 15 feet from my bedroom window. i politely explained that i had to get up early for work and unlike what it sounds like you would've done, he apologized and i never had a problem with it again. that's how people get along in the city. and trust me i live in one of the biggest ones in the world.

I know quite a few people who cannot stand headphones. My room mate for example feels the need to own a very nice stereo system so that EVERYONE has to hear his music. He could of spent half of that on some nice BOSE or Beats by Dr. Dre headphones and had a higher quality sound that blocks out everything else.

There's also some sick gaming ones that double as your headset.

horrible.  horrible. headphones.

If you're gonna spend decent money, might as well get decent quality.  For the price of the flagship dre's you could get a pair of 1964-T's.  Leaps and bounds better

They're really the standard TWFK and ED drivers.  The UM3x, SM3, triple.fi 10, etc are all variations on this idea.  I might personally get myself a second hand tf10 and reshell it - apparently they all sound rather similar that way and I'd be saving myself some money.

We'll see, I have a westone um3x in the mail right now and if I like it I'll get a TF10 to reshell.

I just bought some Beyerdynamic DT880 600 ohm.  Get them on Tuesday!  I hope my receiver can power them adequately.  It's class A from the 80s so I'm hoping it can deliver the required power.  I might eventually get a DV 336i or a Schiit Lyr.

honestly, the fiio e9 is more than enough power for anything you are driving.  It's amazing how much power that thing can put out

am I the only one who thinks this track is amazing? :frown:.

most fucken annoying shit in the world. thump. thump. over and over. fucken bass, dont crank it so loud that it disturbs those around you. illuminati wanna be rappershit.

fuck, cmon guys.

Its not the most annoying shit in the world... you are..

you are such a fucking cocksucker it annoys me everytime you post...

I would rate you again but I already gave you a zero... go fuck yourself.

don't worry. he is being pragmatic, and silly. the track is one of the better dance track i've heard here (amongst all the dubstep and psytrance) in fact, actually excites me (unlike most) and makes me want to check it out. thanks, dude.

the guy doesn't even know what he is talking about... the song was about the calypso drums and not about the bass, (so he is talking about the simple time signature; which would be hard as hell to do without a sampler, so that's probably his only point) and also the song didn't thump very loudly, at all.

so the guy gets more lower ratings. YAY!

Unless you live next to a 20 year old who thinks his computer speakers are the greatest in the world.

If you're a music afficionado get headphones.  NOBODY wants to hear someone else's music reverberating through the walls for 3 hours a day, regardless of genre.

is it up to you? no? well.

9pm, anything after 10 is too late.

i've never understood why people need to play music loud unless there is a party. imo people who listen to loud music constantly are just trying to drown out their thoughts

i agree with this sentiment though. anything after... well the time when people go to sleep... is off-limits... turn it down then. it's quiet time.
