 Brown trout and morels

I prepared this dish in the typical fashion my mother does
reconstitute morels with simmering water and butter broth
enough to reconstitute mushrooms while leaving a small morel/butter reduction
season trout lightly with salt and pepper
dredge in butter and cover with flower
slice day old french bread into crouton sized chunks
brown a few tablespoons of butter
add trout, morels, and croutons
cook trout a few minutes on each side
add fish, mushrooms, and croutons to baking dish
drizzle morel reduction over fish
finish in 425 degree over for 10-15 minutes
serve with light vegetable side

That looks and sounds delicious! Is this a regional dish of some sort? I'm not aware of the combination of trout and morels in European cuisine.

trout and morels is a tradition in Michigan, both seasons concur with one another.
very nice cherk. you showed some restraint with the thyme too. you get a cookie.
