So the rain has stopped and the sun is out in north brassy :smile:

I've only ever hunted once and lucked out on the first tuft of grass in the first paddock i looked in lol. I want to go looking for some cubes & cyanecens tonight(as I have to be at work early tomorrow morning) but read the previous post stating it's not the best idea... Being my only option I was wondering, will I find ANY shrooms if look tonight, and if so what time would be optimal? Also how many days after rain does it generally take before they start dissapearing? I won't be able till hunt till Saturday if I want to do a morning hike :frown:

sorry if I am breaking any forum rules in asking these questions. So keen to find some :laugh:

You'll be fine to go at night if you know the paddock or if it's pretty small. Just don't use any light whatsoever and let your eyes adjust. Bright colours show up a lot at night and it'll either be mushrooms or leaves. It'll take a little longer though. The cool thing is once you find one mushroom, there's usually a few with it as well. Check thoroughly, but don't break the paddies and leave the small ones for others or later :thumbup:

If you can, go when the sun is still up haha. Your always gonna see more when the sun is up but it doesn't really matter when it's dark. About 30min after the sun is below the horizon, it is as dark as it's gonna get. I shoot a lot of sunsets and have to walk home in the dark pretty often :tongue:

Ah fair enough, I was under the impression that shrooms would have withered away by the afternoon due to the heat/sunlight. Cheers guys

Just got back my self, came back with 5 or so closed cap cubes and one open one(6cm diam.) sorry no pics, crappy iPhone... Internet back on end of month. Nearly got busted in one paddock we looked in lol

was beautifully hot today after a few days of rain i reckon tomorrow should be the go , and as my sleeping pattern is well out of whack i might just go for a stroll at first light :wink:
