Learning about mushrooms?
    #15187159 - 10/06/11 05:31 PM (2 years, 9 months ago)

I am quite interested in learning about different types of mushrooms, but I don't know where I should start. Any suggestions?

Well I would have to say to start at shroomery.org
but since you are already here my next suggestion would to be invest in an identification book.
Then possibly spend some time on the hunting ID section of the forum.

Example, here is my first ID book.

acquire mushroom identification/field guide books and memorize them.  also search for and attempt to identify mushrooms in your area.

Mushroom demystified is a good reference book. Your local library might also have some good books for free that you could borrow and learn from. Good luck and welcome to the world of fungus.
