Gold and silver in downward trend
    #15142011 - 09/27/11 03:36 PM (1 year, 7 months ago)

Gold has dropped 300 dollars in the past couple of days. Silver is now back around $30.

How low will it go? Is now the time to buy? is this a temporary thing or will it keep going lower and lower?

My father watches gold and silver religiously.  He's always reading this and that about gold and silver.  He swears that though the prices of the two fluctuate both are headed nowhere but up.

I need to find a good vendor though.
After all the markup and shipping fees most places still have you paying 40-50 an ounce.

Also he says the market is being intentionally "fucked with" and that by dec/jan things will be quite different.

NWT mint I found offers a good price for small orders, better than apmex.

extend those charts out to 5, then 10 years and reconsider your answers to the questions.

i have been watching gold and silver only starting in the last few weeks but i am very interested in making a purchase. two nights ago (9/26) it was down to 26.5ish on apmex and i thought it would go lower so i didnt buy but now its back up to 30. i dunno if i should wait to see if it dips again or if im missing my chance to get in at a good price

If one buys silver, is it easy to sell the silver later?
is there a company that will buy it? how much do they pay?

You can make a killing just selling bullion on ebay, people will pay way over market price.

Not so much if you count ebay + paypal fee's though.

It's pretty tradeable towards person to person.

Try craigslist ^.~

Come back in 5 years and see what trend it has. I say it'll go past 3000

Support on silver is around 26.  Failure of previous support at 34 now becomes resistance.  I like silver fundamentally on dips which should happen with a strong dollar and weak commodities.

Gold has support around 1420.  The dollar keeps strengthening and we easily test that IMO.  Completely overvalued I am long GLD puts.

stansberry research is massive newsletter investment service, they provide decent insight into things but its NOT WORTH it even if the price is FREE. why? cuz they will rape your soul with endless advertisements and offers to get you to buy something. It doesn't stop if you buy something because then they try to upsell you on everything else they have. About a year ago I signed up with one of their free offers which gave you access to 50% of their material. The junk they send you is endless. The company has more mastery over marketing than investment advice. You will constantly be assaulted with claims of 800% returns blah blah blah. If you are sensitive to this quantity of bullshit then I suggest you avoid them.

Also, gold/silver might have more downside, at least until QE3 is announced. Short term gold/silver still has more downside, long term it's going to the moon.
