Gold just broke 1900... again!

I think too many of us were sitting on the sidelines hoping it would go back down so we could pick it up cheaply. I said if it goes back to around 1750 buy all you can afford. It did and bounced back up. You could now sell for $150 an oz profit or hold on for the ride. I do think it will go much higher but it may drop back again and give us a second chance. I say gold will pass 2000 by years end.

I think we'll see a fairly significant pull back in the next 2 - 3 weeks. I sold short 5oz when it hit 1920 last night. Currently sitting at 1876, I think it still has more to go.

It's back up around 1860 again. It's starting to look like the 1750 figure was the lowest it's going to go for a while. If i had seen it when it was over 1900 i'd have shorted it too.
Europe is falling apart, the usa is at the end of it's rope in many ways, japan is down, who is left? China will lose many of it's customers when the inevitable recession hits which will really be a depression. They lied and said the recession was over and that there was little or no inflation. They cook the books constantly but those looking for a job know the reality. I can't see anything but down in the stock markets future. Treasuries are paid off in us dollars and with inflation coming those dollars are depreciating fast. Never mind the exchange with the euro, both are sinking and masking the gravity of the situation.
So when the market keeps going down, inflation robs savings, interest rates can't keep up with the real rate of inflation now, when it heats up a savings account is like a bucket with a hole in it. More and more people are going to turn to gold. I think it will pass 5,000 before all is said and done and i think it will be within 10 years. It may happen sooner than we expect.

I am hoping that over night Obama's speech will have a negative effect on the prices of gold and silver. Going to the bullion man tomorrow to place an order even if it doesn't though.

They don't seem very impressed by the speech. Today gold is down to the low 1800's. Keep a close eye on it if you were thinking of getting in. Might be some buying opportunities coming up. The etf gld is trading at 176 for 1/10 oz. It always seems to lag the gold price or to be lower.

Yeah, bob, i think that's it. Plus rumors that they don't have enough gold to cover all the shares. But they want an $80 commission locally to sell kreugerands. I bought when it was 8 and then $10. So if i buy more it'll be etf gold.
It's down to 1815, might be a good entrance point. It was down to 1750 not too long ago but go back far enough and it was way lower than that. Get on board or slap your forehead when it goes to 3000 and beyond. There use to be a show called 'beyond 2000' full of futuristic predictions. Now it could be talking about gold. Probably will go past 4000 but who knows?

I found small amounts of gold when fishing in Northern Calif rivers. Often around the roots of washed out trees along the river bank.
I'm rich. RICH I SAY!

Small nuggets about half the size of a pea or so. Not usually round but more flatish. Real gold as I've had them checked out. Very beautiful imo.

Mine look like the small flatish ones. Pretty stuff. I don't have a lot and I give it for Xmas presents so I'm down to my last couple which I plan to give away this xmas to my sister with some other beautiful crystals and arrowheads. I have spent a lot of time outdoors and have found lots of cool little things. Never that lost bag of gold coins I dreamed of though.

Here's how to find your own. I used to watch guys working the Smith river in Northern California in the Redwoods. Hippies even back in the 70s were taking almost a hundred grand out in about three months of summer. The gold price was high then too.

Gold panning is making a comeback. one can actually make a pretty good living working a decent claim.
we have only found like less than one percent of the gold in the world and the spring melt always brings a fresh load of gold into the banks of gold bearing rivers.

Fun way to spend a sunny afternoon too. The only problem with the bigger operations and why I don't is that they silt up the spawning beds for the fish. I'd rather have clear rivers full of fish than gold.

Gold is in the low to mid 1600's might be a good time to get in. I expect the market to continue drifting downward as i've said before. Look for stocks to keep drifting down until the current financial situation is fixed. That will not happen soon and i think stocks will take a pounding for years to come. There will be the occasional bounce of course.
Gold in the past was linked to stock prices but has become less so lately. It has gone up many times when the market went down. I think the reason for the recent gold price drop is people are taking profits since it's in very high territory even at 1800. It may drop a bit more but this looks like a very good entry point. I would say buy and hold at least a couple years to get the benefit of it.
