There has been word of a lot of people having trouble with cell service on Wallstreet. I wonder if this is going to turn into another BART protest.
Twitter is also censoring certain #hashtags to prevent riots.
From what I've seen Facebook started censoring things as soon as Google + came about.

OK, so maybe I missed a memo somewhere, but what are these kids trying to accomplish? We're all mad at the bankers who have made a not-so-honest buck off the backs of taxpayers, but what does this actually accomplish?

Right. Well, when you consider the arguments of people like ZiG who insist that welfare recipients are worthless bums who make no effort to pull their weight, a protest like this doesn't really help the image.
"We're gonna occupy wall street, man! We'll show those bums a thing or two! Let me just go cash my welfare check and pick up enough canned chili and pot to last the month."
I'm not saying Wall Street should get a free pass either, but there's something very ironic and possibly even telling about the spectacle we're witnessing.
