I think I'd go out with a bang.
I love life way too much and am worried about dying and giving it all up, so its not at all likely I will.

She figured out that the only way to keep from being frozen was to stay in motion, and long ago converted most of her flesh into liquid. Now when she smells danger, she spills herself all over, like gasoline, and lights it

She's 70-something years old, and worked on the women's movement in the 60s. Writes good poetry for sure. The gasoline post just brought that part of a poem to mind.

One of those little pellets are bound to sever the brain stem... Right?
This dude shot himself at the age of 16 with a shotgun and survived.
Suicide isn't worth it IMO... I'd rather go out naturally when the time comes.

I'd roll a couple of blunts, seal my garage tightly, turn my car on, roll down the windows, get high, fall asleep and never wake up again.

You'd wake up. Unless your using an older car or one where the catalytic converter has been removed. Also, you'll wake up with a headache and a sore throat that would make you want to kill yourself... or at least try again.
In the past, before air-quality regulations and catalytic converters, suicide by carbon monoxide poisoning would often be achieved by running a car's engine in a closed space such as a garage, or by redirecting a running car's exhaust back inside the cabin with a hose. Motor car exhaust may have contained up to 25% carbon monoxide. However, catalytic converters found on all modern automobiles eliminate over 99% of carbon monoxide produced.[45] As a further complication, the amount of unburned gasoline in emissions can make exhaust unbearable to breathe well before losing consciousness.

You'd be so gassed out of your mind from the fumes, you'd think you died and were a ghost doomed to walk the earth for all of eternity!

That's where actually thinking things through gets you. I read or hear something, I remember it. I read or hear something, I see the flaws or positives of it.
Rationality can be a blessing and a curse.

Nope.
"Catalytic converters were first widely introduced on series-production automobiles in the United States market for the 1975 model year to comply with tightening U.S. Environmental Protection Agency regulations on automobile exhaust emissions. Catalytic converters are still most commonly used on motor vehicle exhaust systems, but are also used on generator sets, forklifts, mining equipment, trucks, buses, locomotives, airplanes and other engine fitted devices. Usually this is in response to government regulation."
