Ingredients
garlic onion (optional) mushrooms (optional) 1 can tomato sauce (15 oz) 1 can sweet peas medium shells (pasta) salt and pepper/ seasonings
Sautee your garlic, chopped onions and mushrooms in a little bit of olive oil on medium till the onions are soft. While you are doing this bring some water to a boil for the shells. I like to add some salt to the water for flavor.
Next add your tomato sauce and your can of peas (INCLUDING THE PEA JUICE- DO NOT DRAIN) to your sauteed veggies. Season to taste with salt and pepper, Italian seasonings (basil, oregano, thyme, etc.), crushed red pepper, ep4's chipotle powder, whatever you want or have. Cover and reduce heat to simmer.
Cook your shells in the boiling water until done. Strain your pasta and add it to your sauce. I like to add a little at a time, because if you add too much pasta it will absorb too much of the sauce. I like to have plenty of sauce to dip my bread in. Sprinkle some Parmesan cheese on top. Serve with some sliced French baguette, and enjoy!
NOTE: Sometimes I like to cook some ground beef or sausage in a separate pan, and add it to the pasta pasil after I drain the fat. It makes it a little more hearty. You can use spaghetti sauce instead of the tomato sauce too if that's all you have

That is true, but it is not as quick. If you have the time though I agree it would be better
