We have lots of deer in Aus (6 or 7 species). They were introduced as game and have gone wild.

When I was young my dad would take me to the Royal National Park to see the deer come out at dusk. I have lots of deer hunters in my family. My uncle's house is like a zoo, with heads covering the walls.

That could be a male.  They don't get antlers until they are a bit older.  It is also possible for female deer to grow antlers.

They'd be fallow deer. Got a few of them around here too plus HEAPS of Sambar.

On a mushy hunt a few years back I found this stupid Sambar Doe that'd somehow managed to snap its neck on an old fence post.
Check it out.

Yeah they're usually found as game in the vic/nsw mountain regions

I went shooting up in Bright a few times, and the guy who owned the range gave us some mince deer that he seemed to have a shitload of.
never knew deer burgers would be so tasty  :awethumb:

That's no more than three or four weeks old, tops.  They lose their spots after a month or two.  If there was no doe around, they're probably orphans and won't survive.

A deer can lose its spots. Not change. Or it keeps its spots.

Interesting.  The white tail and mule deer around here lose their spots by the time they're weaned.  These pics were taken in our back yard.

Holy shit.

I seen two goats at the exact same spot. One was dark grey, with a black fluffy strip going down its spine. Like a mohawk. Also, black fur on its legs and head.

They had horns, maybe 20 cms long.

Both were different, im guessing a male and a female.

Ill try to snap some pictures tomorrow

From my window.
