Great find!

Workman hasn't posted in months. I often wonder if he is still an active member.

You may want to send dried cap samples to people who can do microscopy on them and send some spore prints to good cultivators to see if they are a cultivatable species.

That's what I was thinking, but shouldn't there be some sort of partial veil? The stipe remindes me of the baeocystis I find. Awesome finds man:awedance:

Having lived through an existence close to nature, one accepts the small and simple things as most important in life. Sun, wind, rain and snow. The sounds birds make, smells of fresh wild flowers. Love of all kinds, from friends and family, thy self and our neighbors. Beautiful sunrises to the darkest clouds dancing above in the sky. To forgive, learn, share and express. This is the only thing a man such as myself can ask for. What comes as the result is nothing short of the core of human existence, to truly live free in body and mind.

Very nice! A very unusual, deformed looking species!

I think they look alot like ovoids also, but it's a strange time of year to find those, especially in arizona. Maybe something else in the section Stunzii

Maybe not so strange as you might think, at least in other parts of the world:

http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/14837840#14837840

Ovoids grow from Maine to northern Georgia and from Seattle to Los Angeles
and I start thinking that they are spreading all over the USA where the climate is favorable for them.
