God this is a tough one.
It's a close between LSD and MDMA.
I would throw pot into that but I never really saw pot as a drug 
OK so probably LSD. Only because MDMA I COULD do everyday...LSD I need a few weeks in between.

hmm mdma is quite honestly a surprising answer, i think i would probably say either LSD or mushrooms, although from what ive heard of it i think i would really like mescaline and might pick that if i had a change to try it...

lol yep it's my favorite thing to get once in a while but it's pretty scarce nowadays especially since it made headline news in my state when some jackass 19 year old named trevor robinson didn't know what he was doing and somehow died from a mix of 2ce, and some other substances(not sure because the whole story was pretty vague tbh) and he managed to OD on it.. pissed me off soo much when people made such a huge deal about it

AHhh I've thought hard about this and it is a really hard decision between Lucy and Mary for me
I feel like I'd rather have good Lucy to do for the rest of my life but I'm pretty addicted to the ganj so I don't know if I could quit it....
AHHHHHH I don't know I'ma go with Mary just because I feel like I've done enough L to have the psychedelic experience stay with me a little even if I'm only stoned.

but that's my "everyday" drug
for my second choice, i choose....... LSD!

Asking one to isolate their drug use to one drug for the rest of their life is a cruel punishment 
Marijuana is the perfect everyday drug
LSD and mushrooms are good for once every couple weeks, maybe months, depending on the person and dosage.
DMT is good not being used as frequently, but for very rare, infrequent, and equally powerful and awesome experiences.
Life is a combination of casual, everyday experiences with a few stunning and unusual moments mixed in on occasion.
To isolate the drug use of a psychedelic connoisseur to one psychedelic would screw up this well-rounded equilibrium.

Although I've never tried DMT. I suppose having the traditional psychedelic experience (when taken w/ MAIO) as well the occasional trip to hyperspace could be better.
As much as I've enjoyed my time with weed, it just never resonated with me like my trips have. Sorry die hard stoners out there, but it's felt like Mary's main purpose for me was to prepare me for psychedelics.

Just remember this is a completely hypothetical question that we can only fantasize about possibly coming true (or not) but ultimately - it's extremely unlikely you'll ever ACTUALLY get a chance to just choose one drug the rest of your life. So just have fun with your answer!
I decided to throw my opinion in here cuz I actually thought about this same topic myself a few days ago. I made my own variations though  for example, I chose a daily drug, a weekly drug, a monthly drug, and a yearly drug. Weekly meaning ONCE a week, etc. For that list...
Daily - Super dank indica most days, throw some sativa in there every once in a while
Weekly - pure cocaine........... just cuz it's pure cocaine. let's party haha (again this is merely hypothetical)
Monthly - LSD, no question
Yearly - tough one.. for something personal probably a super high dose DMT/Mescaline/Shrooms. For an all out rage with loved ones in a more social environment, probably MDMA
Oh and if there's any room left for some dissociative goof, wherever and whenever it fits, you can throw that in as well

I'd say some kind of strong opiate (oxycodone) would be a good choice, but if that was the only drug you did and you did it all the time, after awhile you wouldn't really get high off it or you'd need tons of it, unless you kept your usage down to 1-3 maybe 4 days a week, like every other day. If you did that it's possible you could do opiates moderately for the rest of your life. Sure you could do the daily if you wanted, but I never would. I wouldn't want to ruin it by doing it daily. Plus when I do opiates I like to smoke weed with it and do benzos, which I'm already on.
At one time in my life I probably would've said weed, because you can smoke weed all the time, every day for years if not your whole life and it doesn't really cause problems. For me though weed by itself makes me anxious now most of time. I stopped smoking weed every day and only smoke when I'm on other shit, then suddenly weed works awesome again.
LSD would be a decent choice too. I could probably handle doing LSD once a week, sometimes more for the rest of my life, maybe with a few off here and there.

i could smoke DMT every day the rest of my life. wouldn't, because god knows what kind of lung disease that'll give me, but if i had one choice that would be it. i guess if i'm allowed MAOI's too then it would make it a much more versatile drug of choice.

I feel ya, there is def a fine line between recreational use and addiction with opiates. I'm glad that the question is purely hypothetical though that way I don't actually have choose just one
