Im voting against the field goal scoring system. There shouldnt be 2point or 6 point FG i think the Yahoo default is better. And the return yards should be 1point for every 25 yards returned.

also, it's only a one point difference than the default settings, give or take.
So you're saying you want 3 points for basically a PAT/chip shot?
There's really not that many FG's within the 20 anyways. Only 13 kickers made FG's within the twenty last year. The most within the 20 was 3 by dawson(cle), so he got screwed out of 3 lousy points for the entire year? Not that big of a deal.
50+ is different, almost every kicker made atleast 1 last year. I believe kickers should be rewarded for making extra long kicks, mainly because teams force them to executethem in clutch situations.
I seriously doubt those FG settings is going to make or break your fantasy team, lol. Atleast I hope not.
I think its legit. I mean c'mon, we're all playing on the same field here. But if the majority of the league wants it changed, then by all means I will change them.
and the default for yahoo on return yards is a big fat goose egg. The only time they are given points is if they score.
I find it funny how you have a problem with them now, after I posted it in everyone's face here in the thread.

I dont like that Kicker scoring either. 6 points for a 50+ yard field goal, that's the same as a touchdown. Why not just stick to the default scoring system instead of trying to fudge things
I do like the kick return points though. I think leagues that allow lots of points for kick return yardage are a ruin to fantasy football. It's basically a loophole in the system. It allows people to take a shitty WR who returns kicks and put them into a starting lineup and they end up getting just as many or more pts. then good WR's do
edit- And No the kicking scoring was not that way last year. I ran the league last year and would never alter that from the default scoring. I dont think I changed anything at all from default except for maybe value of passing TD's

I dont get it either. I know zappa does it in baseball to try and get a little advantage over people who dont pay attention to the changes. Any scenario that makes FG's and Touchdowns worth the same value is skewed, imo. Max a FG should be worth is 4 points.

Can you guys give reason behind your claims? What makes Yahoo the correct way of doing fantasy football? Look at the defaults, its only a point. Should I just make all FG's 3 points?

FG's should definitely be put back to the way they were by default.

If you really are set on boosting kicker points, then go for it. Things like this are usually discussed by the people playing and are adjusted as members see fit, by popular decision. But if you really have an ultimatum to boost kickers, then go for it. Not the end of the world

yah man you are about to make sebasrian janokowski or however you spell his name a 4 round pick. think about it. Fair is 3 ponts for a field goa. then you give 1bonus point to FG over 40yards, and 2 extra points to FG over 50 yards. 6 points for a FG is ridiculous. And BTW, Im not complaining about your role as comissioner, but as comish you should do more listening and less talking when it comes to shanges, after all you do get the final word. Yeah, no one is trying to make you quit or piss you off. We are merely suggesting changes in the scoring system to reflect the default system, as it makes more sense. Just think about it, you made a 50+ yard field goal the same as a TD..

I like the 6 point 60+ yard field goals. It is not a common occurrence to hit a 60 yarder, if the guy can do that I think it deserves 6 points. I mean seriously how many 60 yarders were kicked last year.

I think one by Janokowski, 63 yarder. Set the record. I would be ok with this too. But I doubt anyone will boot another 60+ yarder in quite a while

I would have no problem with 60+ counting for 6. But that isnt even a scoring category. We were discussing 50+ being 6 points, which is a fairly common occurrence.
zappa- I cant speak on this years settings as I didnt play. But in previous years. Maybe it was OMR I was thinking of....

Well then "No", I would vote against raising the kicker's 50+ yard kicks to 6 points....
.....with that said, as long as I knew of the rule change before the draft I would adjust my strategies accordingly.
