i love shit like burritos and sushi because there is so many variables. there is so much room to get creative, especially high. what is in your ideal burrito? sushi roll?
my ideal burrito:
marinated fried seitan
daiya vegan cheese (a medley of all the varieties)
habanero hot sauce
home made guac (i make it 'thai style' mmmmm)
diced chipotle pepper in adobo sauce
red onion
lettuce
roma tomato
my ideal sushi roll:
marinated shitake mushroom
umeboshi plum
daikon radish
avocado
green onion
sweet potato tempura
lettuce
habanero
tofu skin

since youre veg ill have to post my ponzu mushroom recipe sometime, it really mimics the texture of stuff like octopus well, when i was a kid i used to eat the shit out of ponzu octopus. its a great protein-y thing to put in sushi for vegans

I always just put cucumber and pink salmon into my sushi rolls. With spring onions and wasabi. Not hugely creative, but at least salmon isn't as over-fished as tuna and I often get cucumbers in the organic veggies assortment I receive weekly.

Depends on my mood but there's a local place here that sells jerk fish burritos and they're pretty good.
Any other time I usually make everything from scratch locally...Right down to my dads free range chickens.
Arugula/baby spinach, homemade salsa (diced tomato, lemon/lime zest and a bit of juice, cilantro from my grandmothers garden, homegrown onions, jalapeno or bell pepper depending on the mood, dried chili flakes)
Depending on how my girlfriend and I feel I'll either pan stir a mix of greens, rice and chopped chicken or if I have the time I like to use a marinade my families used for poultry way, way before my inception and grill it for a nice crust. That, I'd say, is my idea of the best burrito.
Have you ever made your own burrito wraps? Nothing compares.

I wish I could speak of sushi but my palate for raw seafood is nonexistent. This, I believe, is due to my stupidity of the subject. I think I've had a California roll at a cheap Chinese buffet once but that is obviously a horrible representation of sushi. My mouth can't help but water at that image, though!

ohhh I love burritos! I just love cooking a bunch of whatever and putting it into a nice lil' sleeve for consumption.
-sauteed onions, garlic and mushrooms dun up with oregano/thyme/rosemary seasoning and a dash of wine. ohhhh soooo gooooood! omg,
-corn
-red/green/whatever peppers
-brown rice
-aguacate/avocado! mmmmmmmm
-chicken/tofu
-some cheese
-a touch of sour cream
If I'm not super lazy, I'll mix n mash up the sour cream and aguacate to make even moister deliciousness.
I kinda wanna throw feta cheese in the mix but dunno if that's a good idea. It's one of those things that seems like it won't mesh well but I've done similar things in the past and had them come out uniquely tasty.
I'm not too picky about the sushi. I'd like to make my own though.
