Your grow 4-6 oz dry first flush
my tubs 8 oz + first flush Im not trying to brag im just trying to show you how much properly taking care of your tubs can effect your grows.
I bet my tubs are quite a bit smaller than yours also

He's right though. That's a good flush you've got there, but the fruits were definitely searching for more fresh air. Here's a tub I neglected and the fruits did some zany shit.
Your holes are definitely small for that tub.

well the person watching over the grow and fanning the tubs off everyday is screwing shit up. most of the second harvest is covered in spores. the care taker waited too long to harvest so i have about 10 ounces that are covered in dark black spores... hope this doesnt add a nasty flavor to it or anything. kind of frustrating. im going for perfect fruits but this person wont do their job...

You cant go after perfect fruits and let other ppl take care of your shit. That just isnt going to work. Dont worry about the spores it doesnt do anything to the taste

yea the growing arrangement is a bit weird at the moment. but soon it will be me solo doing strain isolations and G2G.
i was basically just showing someone how to do it. thats about over with so the next grows will be all me and no one else.
the ecuadorians and mazatapec mini tubs are all me.

All those black spores never seemed to matter much to me. They really aren't the tastiest things anyway.

Ajaxx said: i quoted you saying that they all, as in the bacteria/mold spores, survive pasteurization, and i quoted something RR just said within the last hour in another thread, contradicting your statement.
so you guys didnt say the same thing.
where are these trich spores coming from that are all over our substrate anyway, like you say?
Rr said pasteurization "takes care of it.". As in, microbial growth is slowed and your healthy myc takes over. This is the basis of pasteurizing before spawning. Where do trichoderma and mold spores come from? The air you're breathing 24/7. It's covered to begin with, no way to avoid it. I hope rr comes and clarifies this for you, since my post count is so low
I think we can all agree that regardless it really isn't worth it to buy coir blocks that have purposely been infected with trich...? I mean, maybe pasteurization takes care of it, but seems like you would want to give yourself the best odds possible, and all you have to do is drive to a pet store to find proper blocks (I know the hydro shop coir you speak of, no trich but many many fibers)- last time I checked pet stores were more numerous than hyrdo shops haha. you just have to dodge the occasional conversation about your "reptile"...
