alone i was in prison at age 14 and got to go home a weekend in my final month. i bought 2 portions (60 grams in holland)
Pis test came back positive, so my leave was withdrawn, but i still had the shrooms. Needless to say, i had the crazyest trip ever. I didnt even know what shrooms where, before that day!!

Although its nice to have a safty net (trip sitter), I think its better to do it alone to get the REAL feel for the trip... Groups take away from the mind expanding aspects of the trip imo.

1st time i did shrooms i did it with one of my close friends and his 2 sisters wanted to watch then towards the end some of other friends came over who were just begining to trip on some shrooms.
1st time i did acid was with the same person i did shrooms with and it was a crazy night, he lives in the country and at the end of his dirt road were cops with their flashing lights on for a good portion of the trip and we randomly heard a loud as scream from where the cops where at then it was all silent again

My first shroom & LSD trips were with group of 4 other friends, with one of us sober. Great experiences, though I did feel a little brought down by the straight-edge guy. Helped keep perspective though.
Nowandays I am more comfortable spending a long evening alone on either of these drugs. It allows me to pay more attention to my mind and surroundings without distractions.
On the odd occasion that I do trip at a party, I am more in control because I understand myself on drugs more.

Being with friends is always best but after a few I want to be alone, yet still have them nearby.

The first time I tripped, I was with two friends. One was sober and one was tripping.
When I was with the one tripping I felt like we were on the same level and we could understand each other perfectly. (although spiritual conversation was never started between us until the end of the trip)
When I talked to the sober person it simply brought me down and made me feel sober...
I went off by myself for alot of the trip and that is when I felt best and had spiritual experiances. I find it hard to think philosophically with others distracting me.
Alone is definately best. Although a sitter is a good thing to have for the first trip, I definately perfer tripping alone.

i was 14 or 15 lived in fla, went out to a feild, got 2 big fat slimy cubes, and a couple copes and some ones i can't remember, got the shit scared out of me by a bull that snorted and was less than 15 feet behind me(luckily i was right by the gate) ran and jumped the fucking gate like a kenyan,rode my bike back home and made tea, i triple boiled them, drank what wouldn't fit in my water bottle, and rode my bike headed for my probation officers office and then to my first day of work...
i finished it all before arriving, colors became brighter and i started feeling really happy on the ride there.
got into the office and the floor started moving with patterns, walls breathing, and i started giggling... then this girl came in, her mom was in like, a hover round type electric wheel chair, and the front wheels got over the bottom door frame, but the back wheels like, got stuck and spun so she would start moving forward and up then jerk backwards, i couldn't help it and started cracking the fuck up, waited for her and her mom to get in, and ran outside and started screaming with laughter... after i got myself undercontrol i went in and my PO was soon ready to see me.
i can't imagine how i looked, her office was incredibly tiny, and she was younger and kinda still had acne, so the bumps and scars on her face were moving, her blinds were closed and the only light was this little lamp on the desk.
my hands were sweaty, and she asked me if i was okay and i told her i was getting over a cold and nervous for my first day of work...
well, i made it out okay, had the urge to go as fast as i could on my bike, went to a friends house and giggled my ass off while they smoked a bowl.
i went outside and sat there for awhile, because they had left, and i went in and used their phone, just me, and ended up sitting on their porch waiting for my friends to get off school..
i met up with a friend of mine and ended up never going to work, something i regret to this day, but overall it was an amazing introduction to psychedelics... i had done dxm before, but i don't consider it in the same class at all...

I'll bet this poll's sampling procedure skews the results.. People on an internet mushroom forum are more likely to be tripping alone than the general populace.

i tripped with some close friends that had never tripped themselves. we got them from a friend of theres not mine who made them into choco treats fuckin blew my mind.
i would like to say the real first time i tripped was with one really close friend and his brother. i saw this because this was when i got them myself and took 35 grams fresh......i would say that will forever remain one of the craziest nights of my life.
dont trip alone your first time you might freak yourself out. it also raises blood pressure and i have seen people pass out. not to scare you or anything but everyone reacts different. i later found that person has low blood pressure. right when she smoked some weed and a cig she fell over.

My first time me and some friends went driving around on gravel roads in my friend's vega (driving is not recommended), cutting cookies and sliding around corners. We were whooping and yelling. After one 360 cookie on a dead end road the driver managed to convince the three passengers that we actually rolled the car. We got so convinced that he ended up believing we really had rolled his car. We had to stop to inspect the damage and were amazed to find the car unscratched. More craziness ensued.

First time was LSD with college friends in SF CA. Good Times! In recent years, I tend to go more solo with things like (Fungi, Salvia, HBR).
Yet, I recently found a tree in my area which has a high DMT content. After reading and study, I am planning my first ayahuasca experience and debating over having a trip sitter because I am a little intimidated by the intensity and duration. I most likely will go with a trip sitter.

My first time tripping was incredibly bad. I was young, and with a new friend. We took what i thought was acid. but it was bitter, so it was clearly not LSD. After two hours we barely felt anything... so we re-dosed. Big mistake. At the time I had done lots of research on LSD, but not on LSD mimicks. There were many other uncomfortable things that went on that night, but a big issue was that I was around a large amount of people I have never met before, and only one person I knew, and not very well. Every other time I've taken psychedelics I've had multiple close friends around, with the exception of a few times smoking DMT.
So I suppose neither of the options fit very well. The first time I was around a bunch of strangers, so alone in some kind of sense. But not in solitude.

First time I ever tripped was off a hoffman tab and I went it alone. This is largely due to the fact that I was anticipating a meditative journey. Timothy Leary's "The Psychedelic Experience" really helped form my first trip into a positive one. It was fantastic and I'd do it all over again if I had the chance.
