Well, for your first time, it's best to trip with some friends than alone because you don't really know what to expect and things could get weird, although they're gonna get weird whether you're alone or not.

Eh, I can't pick either. Poll far from covers an exhaustive list of scenarios.
I tripped at an alcohol-fueled party of casual friends, my brother, and strangers. Out of the 30+ people there, I'm not sure if more than a couple others were tripping on mushrooms. I spent the first 2/3 of the trip around people. The last portion was spent essentially completely alone because everyone was passed out.

I voted with friends.
My first trip with LSD was with 1 good friend, 1 acquaintance, 1 person I just met, then going to another persons house where another new face was. Then i went to a concert to see Slayer, Anthrax, Megadeth and Alice in chains. It was a blast.
Now if we are talking shrooms (my only other psy i am experianed with) I would not want to do what I did with the LSD.
In any case, a small group of close friends, maybe around 3-4 would be a great time.
Doing it solo your first time... I am not sure i would recommend it. Some people could easily handle it while others might find it difficult. Besides if it's just you and a few others you can always go someplace quiet and alone for a bit.

For my first time, I tripped with some friends who were experienced with psychedelics. I'm always afraid of tripping alone just in case things start going bad, I like to have someone there to assure me that everything will be okay.

meh both choices are linda over analyzed. tris really dont need to be planned out. just feel comfortable when the time is right. i voted with friends, cause it is best to be with other people, though once your tripping... your tripping... its gonna run its course and at that point if your with a friend it might not mtter. you both are gonna go through a possible struggle, this could be nice to share and ahve a acomplis to experience this with, but you will bothbe out of control. be sure to feel stable and loose yo. ride that bitch, go with whatever. best bet: trip with someone more experienced in the circumstance. have a 'safe zone always' until your at a more comfortable experienced level

i think it all depends on what kind of person you are and what you r looking for out of it. in my younger days I tripped to get fuked up. now I usually do it for more spiritual reasons or to clear my mind or expand depends,

I agree with you there, When I first did mushrooms I did it with my friends and close ones at that. Now that I'm a little older and not out chasing highs I do it for more of a learning/religious experience than anything. The last time I tripped I did it by myself in the woods, this was my first experience completely alone and prob one of my milder but better ones yet. Def tend to appreciate the experience a lot more by ones self in my opinion.
