Though Jones isn't as well versed in the counter-culture as some, the gist of what he's saying sounds about right. It's actually one of the better points I've heard him make in a while. It's no surprise it would be hard for some advocates of psychedelics to accept.
I know that Jones can be sensational about things, but the majority of what he does consists of citing mainstream news and interviewing quite reputable guests. Hard to see how all of this bashing is justified.

What can I say, gullibility has always tickled me. And as far as cults of misplaced belief go, Roman Catholicism is about a million times more twisted and more harmful than lil' old Alex Jones. Besides, I don't agree that Jones is "bullshit." Is he factual? No, for the most part, not at all. But there is nonetheless a certain quality to what he's doing. It's like performance art, only he isn't performing. He's just being exactly who he is. He isn't as articulate when talking about the DMT experience as some 'gurus', but he admits he's never taken DMT, and won't take it. My view is that the government looked at this guy as a nutcase that no one would possibly take seriously. They probably figured "Hey, this guy presents himself in such a way that he's hurting his own message, which helps us"
So, the government just let him do his thing and now there's nothing they can do about him. His viewer/listener base is too big. It's fucking huge, really. If they pulled something funny on Alex I don't think it would go down too well

It was really sad for me to watch alex jones go from being a hero to a wacko in the counter culture.
Eh i'm not even gonna argue. His conclusions and a priori assumptions are clearly wacky.
Still, I can't respect people who can't respect him for his journalism and passion. The worst are the people who say he's doing it for the money, or as a performance.

Alex is brilliant if you ask me. He coherently discusses real issues 90% of the time. 10% of the time he acts goofy. Why?
If he acted serious 100% of the time, he might have been taken out earlier like Bill Cooper. But if you view vintage alex jones footage, he really comes off as disinfo. Just the way he talks, and his mannerisms. I mean maybe thats just his style? One thing no one here disagrees on, is that Alex Jones is very theatrical. It's obviously helped him, just look at his various youtube channel views
So in my view, the people in government that watch certain people, took notice of Jones 15-16 years ago or whatever and figured that they could use him:
Agency that puts people on Watch Lists: "Here's a guy kooky enough about some things, but right about other things. But he's still essentially discrediting himself by the way he acts, and therefore it's kind of like he's working for us. For free. Leave him Alone."
So Alex Jones continued to fly under the radar and has slowly built his own not so little media empire from the ground up. Why is that so hard to believe? Did Bill Gates not drop out of college and later create Microsoft? Occasionally the American Dream still works
I'm not just trying to defend the man although it comes off like that I guess. Its not about Alex Jones, people. Its about Bilderbergers meeting in complete secrecy for decades and anyone that brought it up was immdiately discredited(Jim Tucker). Now everyone knows and acknowledges Bilderberg
Face it, were going into a post industrial society and governments don't need masses of people in the not so distant future anymore. The bankers and heads of states of Europe, the Vatican, they hold more money than they'll ever need. Now its time to cull the "useless eaters" as Henry Kissinger put it. When? I dunno. 5 years, 10 years, 20, 30, who knows. I don't want to be around in 50 more years with the way things have been going in the world

The police arrived at Mr. Coopers house because a couple of months prior to this incident, he threatened his neighbors with his handgun. The guy who Cooper threatened with a handgun was a doctor or a dentist or something like that.
He was also wanted for Tax Evasion.
When he threatened the doctor with the handgun on top of tax evasion charges, that's when they got a warrant for his arrest.

I'm pro-Alex Jones.
Some of what he says is blatant nonsense, but A LOT of what he says rings true. This forces you to think for yourself, consider no source valid, do your own research and gather your own facts.
I'm so liberal there isnt even a party I could vote on in the US, and Alex Jones is just about the complete opposite, but theres a lot of overlap in what we believe in. A lot of his stuff isnt politically motivated, its paying close attention and seeing the signs of the times.
I would LOVE to have Alex Jones be a member of our site. He has a lot to bring to the table and forces people to THINK in a time when people want to be spoonfed.
Two thumbs up for Alex Jones
His capacity to be right and wrong with total conviction has earned him several places in my links signature. Above all, you have to think for yourself.

Whew, this is some nice debating going on. As for Bill Cooper, there's more to the story of his death than what I've seen mentioned, but that's probably another discussion. The crap that Alex Jones has said about him though, is one of the main reasons I regard Jones as full of shit. It comes across as what it most likely is - hurt ego and pride on Alex Jones part, from what I can tell. If you want to promote yourself as a lone voice of truth, then you probably shouldn't tell lies. More than once. On your own broadcast.
I've watched his documentaries and listened to his broadcasts (including the somewhat incriminating millennium fear fest) and I think Jones is a great source of important info. Like predicting 9/11. Oh, wait...that was Cooper. Although Jones to this day insists it was himself. Damn, did I just point out another pork pie?
