As inspired by that way cool Mycena in Bobs sphagnum thread, i think we should compare all our finds and try to name a few. i can really only id 2-3 of them and i am sure alot of others cant get past just naming the genus.
so heres a few to start off,my gf is buggin me to come have a bath .
Mycena haematopus the bleeder.1
not sure on this, it had a viscid pellicle though i remember. 2
found these at the end of a stuntzii trip while going for a hike at sunrise by my self! i was like wtf WOW! 3
an unknown i cant remember much . 4
post away people, they are a really common Genus with tons species. so lets see yours . and TI's help out if you can .

Nice thread idea! I am no help on the ID's some cool little dudes you have there though, those pink ones are awesome.
I don't have many Mycena photos and I've posted them before but I think I should do my part and post them again.
This first lot are all the same, they were from one of my first mushroom hunts too.

Mycena interrupta, again I think from one of my first hunts haven't found them since and they are one of my favorite mushrooms.

Some more recent finds:
Ninja Mycena sp. hinding in a log.

....and some more unknowns.

Cheers all

Mycena subcaerulea
-------------------- "... I sauntered about from rock to rock, from grove to grove, from stream to stream, and whenever I met a new plant I would sit down beside it for a minute or a day, to make its acquaintance, hear what it had to tell. I asked the boulders where they had been and whither they were going, and when night found me, there I camped. I took no more heed to save time or to make haste than did the trees or the stars. This is true freedom, a good, practical sort of immortality."

I was rather unenthused with Mycena when i first started hunting, and very slowly i learned to love them for this reason exactly. This thread is a great idea. I don't have most of my photos but i gotta try to find some for this.

Yes.
M. oregonensis is even smaller.

M pura or something.
Not M. pura, that is the only Mycena that grows from the ground.

Blue Mycena

Color Comparison

Bleeding Mycena flush

I'm upgrading the camera in a few weeks, better pics will come out of this season!
