Geeze Thinker - things are going blowing up over there! Looks like you had a fun hunt. Your pictures are simply spectacular; such great display and diversity of color/shape/species - I could nominate just about all of them for POTM.
Awesome tea - is that Chaga I see? And what might the 3rd polypore be (besides the reishi).

That looks just like the bluing Pluteus I find. I'd give the stem a good pinch and see what happens.

thanks guys. these fungi weren't all my finds. I normally hunt with vjp, these were all found and photographed by the both of us
oreganic- yep and the third polypore is Fomitopsis pinicola
bob/bfogg on pluteus- we find these fairly often right now and always think they could be but never see the blue. heres a pic of the stem after being pinched

I was in the same position last year. I don't really see anything in the picture. Maybe just keep that stem in the fridge overnight and see what it looks like in the morning Could they be the way some Gymnopilus are where they hide what little activity there is very well? Possible microscopy pictures?

I see almost the same thing, but sometimes they blue for me and sometimes they don't. I can't decide if they're the same or different. I tend to go for the very end of the stalk when pinching though, and give it plenty of air...a very light grey/silvery blue; I think from the silky white stalk fibers. I've seen bluing on them before ever touching them....once. I can't seem to find more than one at a time. Like you said, they don't seem to be all that uncommon here, but it's hit and miss, but this is the right time of year to find them...if they're all the same thing. Latently psilocybinic?

They are rather similar. In fact, one of the older synonyms for P. cinctulus was Panaeolus fimicola var. cinctulus (Bolton) Rea (1922)
