good luck convincing the judges in a PL comp that your 200lb extremely controlled and slow deadlift is in fact better than the other guy's 500lbs.

I know there's not really a substitute for back squats, but I don't have access to a power rack for the next month or so, and I can't clear enough weight to make it a challenge really... what's the next best thing?

another possibility is Bulgarian squats, ie clean as much weight as you can, then put one foot up on a bench or something behind you and squat on one leg, thus more than doubling the effective weight per leg.

wow...

those worked really well, thanks man

I was just curious...how many of you all workout during the weekend?? Are those two days the splurge days or do you try and get a lift session in or two?? I like to workout sometimes on the weekend especially on Saturday I do some cardio if I know I'm gonna be boozin and eating bad later on in the night.

I usually just do cardio on the weekends. Which is usually pulling a weighted sled or tire flipping. If the weather is nice I try and do sprints outside.
