no not using opiates... Just a lot of speed.  I fucked my school shit up when I was a junkie.... Now with 4 weeks left I have to do a ton of extra credit to make up for failing the first few tests in all my subjects.  With in the next two weeks I have to write 20 pages in research papers, have exams, and have a 15 min video project.  For extra credit I am redoing all of the powerpoints for one of my teachers.... like 10 slide shows... I stopped using needles all together and I starting voulnteering at the humaine society walking dogs a few days a week to keep get me out side and moving around.  I have like 4 chords of wood to chop and I plan to do about an hour every other day until I get it done.
I am coming around.  I feel way better about my self and am working hard to get my shit together.  Just no extra time in my life right now...

Hahaha it's a practical solution but detrimental. Just don't get hooked on it man, you lose tons of strength. I'm down like 20# in a month of not lifting

Yeah I know its not the best, but I have to get my grades up and I am using that as an excuse to use.  I am just glad to be done with needles...  they were stealing my soul.  I want to get my d/l past 500lbs this summer and squat over 300...  I can see it happening.

I had to d/l for practal purposes the other day.  I lifted a trailer off the ground.  It was at least 300lbs.  1200lb trailor with 2 axels.  Felt great to use that lift in real life.

What kind of school and/or major allows you to do extra credit to make up for unexcused absences? Not trying to sound harsh, & it's certainly good thing to do if you have the opportunity (as opposed to withdrawing from all your classes for the semester), just doesn't seem like a thing a professor would allow. I'm in the physical sciences, btw, where it would be particularly hard to make up much stuff at a later date bc of the lab portion that accompanies many courses.

It is my first year...  I basically explained to my instructors what happened and that I was over it and showed them that I care about my grade and just got off the path at the start...

So all of my classes are 100 level, and the lectures are recorded for my bio class and I am making up the labs during open lab.  I know I really caught a break... I explained that I get financial aid and if I fail I can not go back to school until I pay back the grant.  They agreed to let me do a ton of catch up.  My final arguement to them was, if I do all this make up work/extra credit and still fail it is not different than if you don't let me do it and I still fail.  It will be a waste of my time not theirs...

I really caught a break and am not going to fall into this trap again... Lesson learned...

Sound like some pretty awesome profs man!! Good job on the d/l too. I can't wait for this injury to fucking heal, then it's back to the gym and hopefully I don't injure it again.

Way to go man... Beastie.  I assume that is KG and bench?  Your post are getting me jacked for when I am done with this semester.  I can not wait to have the time to devote to my body...

What is your OHP up to?  I remember those beasty 100kg vids you posted...
To me bench is the least important lift, that is least likely to be used in the real world...

Right on... I love the feeling of powerlifing as opposed to bb lifting.  So much more reward for me when I lift seriously heavy stuff.
Nothing like not being able to communicate after a d/l session.  Total physical/mental exertion feels sooo good.  BB style leaves me always wanting more.

Hey guys, time to give meams some advice:

I want to bulk up.  I don't look bad, and have a quasi-decent build, but I want to be bigger and more lean.  Typically, the way people go about this is:  bulking phase with tons of caloric intake, then when they get the mass, they burn off the fat.

My problem:  I wear a suit every day.  The suits i have are from 2008.  I have already had them let out 1" in the waist in order to accommodate the growth iv'e had since back then when i was a complete stick.

So, I can't really bulk up because my pants won't fit.  I can't get 'em let out  more, and I can't afford a new wardrobe just to put on some size.

Any tips for gaining size and leaning out simultaneously?  or is it a pipe dream?

I think it is a pipedream.  You are trying to do two contradictory things.  As you lose fat and gain muscle you will stay about the same size.
If you want to loose fat, run.  Run, run, run, run...  If you want to bulk, eat.

Try powerlifting.  I found that it works best for me...  I constantly get leaner and constantly gain size/strength when powerlifting.

What is the waste size on your pants?  It is really hard to work out regularly and get over 40 or under 34.  I have read many places that 38 is ideal for a healthy male... IDK what they mean by healthy, or ideal for that matter.

My pant size has been a 36 since I was 12. There was a period I should've gone up to a 38 but fuck that. If you're wanting to look big, do high rep with light weights. Muscle definition makes your arms look larger. If you want to get big, lift heavy and match with big food. I need to clean up my diet big time. Eating like shit lately. I've lost about 1-1/2" off my arms and at least 4" of my legs in the past month, but my weight hasn't changed. I guess my body likes 250 haha. Gonna start playing futbol this summer, and get back to lifting once I heal. Hopefully I get te size back and lose my gut.

So what's the relationship between pushups and pressing power?

Do you think high volume pushups would increase pressing power, or only increase endurance?

I think it's more solidity from pushups, but you have a stronger base to build the press power.

I've no idea how many pushups I can do, I'd guess in the 20-30 region, but I'd guess I bench more than most guys who can do twice that number.
