grunting while lifting doesn't make you a dick,
giving someone shit about grunting while lifting makes you a dick.

and jerking off in the gym shower,
  that's also a dick more.
take it home buddy, other ppl want to use the shower.

I think you'll find that doing anything that makes it look, or sound, like you are making a fucking effort is severely frowned upon in some gyms as a form of "bullying". some people seem to think "going to the gym" is about making the least effort humanly possible while still technically doing something, so they can post "I don't know why I'm so fat and/or weak, I go to the gym 3 times a week !!:frown:" on their facebook.

grr.

Lol I try to keep from grunting, but it does help! Fuck people. Now, it you're grunt-counting your first set of 35# flyes and there's 3 other people in the gym, yes you are a douche lol but grunting your 325 up is fine. In a year when you're DL'ing 525 and grunting I guarantee people are gonna be asking you for help.

:loldongs:

fuckin people man.

along with the general attention whore attitude that you described, the other thing so many people do which really pisses me off is dismissing your opinion on any given subject, while insisting that you listen to theirs, because it is of course, far more valid.
political radio and or TV personalities are masters at it.

Finally into the new place, everything is put away and my workout space is set up. I am in the market for a bench since OHP are out of the question with this low ceiling.

Anyways, i've been feeling lethargic i think mainly due to stress from the move.

Busted out some pushups and took some Pre workout this morning and now i am ready to kill it for the first time in about 3 weeks.

Stoked to get into another consistant regimine.

First day back since the 500# attempt. Did back and arms and HOLY HELL it was awesome. Couldn't get my thumbs to my shoulders cuz my biceps were so swollen  pushed harder than I have in forever, and left completely exhausted. My arms (when swollen) had to be near 19", which left me with some mental ego masturbation material lol. So glad I gained strength while only squatting. Gonna really stick to the Smolov after school, when I've got time and motivation.

Good lifting fellas!

Today was a good day at the gym.

Was very close to running a mile in less than 6 minutes and I've almost gained 5 pounds. My goal is to run a mile in less than 6 minutes consistently and to gain 15 pounds this year.

What is your height/weight?  I used to be almost that fast. 13 min 2 mile/19:45 5k...  I was down to 185lbs @ 6ft.  Now I am 225... Running fast is not an option anymore...  Hopefully I shed some of this weight soon as I start running again.  I am thinking of getting a pair of newtons if I get serious with running.  I would like to run a half marathon @ under 8min mile this summer.  I still love my vibram's but to be able to run that far in them would take a year of training-or more...

I have been getting to the gym consistently and I feel great, lost 10 lbs already...  Way better than IVing dope all the time... It sucks being weak as fuck... I could barley d/l 3 plates today, I was doing working sets at that weight at the beginnin of the year.  I'm thinking of getting to the gym tomorrow before my back figures out what I did to it today...
Where is everyone...?

I've been slacking as a mother fucker cuz of school. Granted I'm off 2 days a week, I don't have the motivation I used to. That's pretty bad ass you're back in WWW I'm happy for ya. Glad you're off the shit. I haven't dead lifted for months, I'll probably go Friday and do that as well as triceps. My arms have gotten big enough that even my gf thinks I'm juicing, even though she knows I haven't hit the gym in a while. I'm ready to get my arms up in the 19" range, and lose some of the guy I've had for the past 18 years lol. I just wanna get to 15% bf and maintain that.

Did my 4th set of deadlifts at 295-300 lbs. for 6 reps, my first ever time at this weight. Was feeling like a GOD AMONG MEN… until I tried the next set at this same weight & could barely get the bar off the ground. First attempt I got the barbell like an inch or two off the ground, next two attempts practically nothing, then when I stood up I was light-headed and almost lost my balance. So for the next few sets I went back to 245-250 lbs. doing 10 reps per set.

Something like this ever happened to anyone else? I’m guessing it has to do with the fact that the first rep of a set, having to get the bar up, requires an initial strength that I no longer had after completing the previous set.

Was alternating this exercise w/incline presses at 145-150 lbs. Proud of myself bc the 8 reps per set that I started with I was able to keep it at this through my final set.

"I did not know then how much was ended. When I look back now from this high hill of my old age, I can still see the butchered women and children lying heaped and scattered all along the crooked gulch as plain as when I saw them with eyes still young. And I can see that something else died there in the bloody mud, and was buried in the blizzard. A people's dream died there. It was a beautiful dream.

And I, to whom so great a vision was given in my youth; you see me now a pitiful old man who has done nothing, for the nation's hoop is broken and scattered. There is no center any longer, and the sacred tree is dead."

Yeah, the lightheaded feeling is from a vaso-vagal response to the flexing. Try to take a rest period until you build more cardio strength. I get that shit a lot, but less lately. If it gets too bad you will pass out, so before then, lay down and put your legs up to return the blood to your head
