ernie, are those beauties in the left hand row, 3 deep, and the 2nd one back on the right side 'breast cactus?' One of them looks like it is going cristate. Is that normal?
Very nice looking group of cacti

Yeah, great one man. Some really nice cacti there. I love the yonic.. represent yo! If it's the phallus on top, yoni down bottom, quite hermaphroditic in spirit.. wouldn't it be funny if they miraculously could self pollinate.

I think "breast cactus" specifically refers to a form of Myrtillocactus geometrizans (at least on vendor websites it does). Those look like montrose T. pachanoi to me. It's completely normal for a montrose pachanoi to go cristate, in my experience it's fairly common actually.

Yeah, i know what breast cactus is.
I haven't seen a cutting of this species that looked like that. I've seen my fair share of pachaoi that were monstrose, but very few that went cristrate from that form. I'm not saying that it's not common, but i've only seen one of those.

Some pics of my Padro's they are both the same age - about 2 years old this may 2012.
The larger one was by far the smallest when I got it but has flourished in its current location with a lot more sun light during the day.
I have another that is about midway between the two in size.

I have included my size 11 double plugger in the pic for a size comparison.

Thanks The two smaller lophs are actually a double headed texensis. I don't know what's up with that dark spot on the right one but it isn't rot so I'm guessing it just got bruised a little.

Went for a tasty pancake breakfast with my family today was fortunate to sit next to these lovely beings. It was an overcast day so the lighting wasn't great but I did my best.

I can't wait to see what kind of weird growth I get out of that one when the growing season starts picking up.

Yeah mate did a few grafts off the graphed loph i have, some onto peres (2 or 3) and 5 onto trich stock.
Should get really good success rates based on my last trial, can't wait for in 3 weeks time to see them joined together and growing as one
