dam i havent been in this really too long.=, but i know that i have had my perlite wet for about 2-3 months with no prob. i mean the water evaporates and then u add some more. but i am going to change it out next flush.
is it safe to mist with those solutions? i know i have a sprey bottle just for sterlizing with 5to1 ratio water to 91% alcohol (is that enough for sterilization). but u guys actully use this water to mist the walls, wouldent it kill the mysylum? sorry for poor spelling
I dont think it can become contaminated. It has no nutritional value for mold to feed on. I've been using the same perlite for 6 months now. No contams. Didnt add peroxide either. However the perlite is almost black now from all the spores that have fallen on it.
