I couldn't be fucked reading the start of this thread, thought I'd just post some drunken stories:

First up, I've found myself drinking probably.. 5-7 times a week. And lately it's come down to, i'm pissed off and depressed with life and can't be shitted with my brainz, so alcohol those neuronbastards.

I used to live in Ballarat, which is about 100kms out of Melbourne, and on a Friday night after work, I'd get on my bike, have a backpack of stuff for the weekend and catchj the train to Melbourne. But I didn't necessarily have any friends to hang out with... So, I'd buy booze and ride my bike around Melbourne, dropping by to say hi to some people.. but then feeling terribly socially anxious, so moving on my way.

One night, a great fun night, I was pretty drunk, had already been to some market (where I got delicious beer) and then went to a gig.

After many more drinks, and some heckling.. we went outside, smoked a spliff. I don't remember a whole lot from this evening... I was told that people didn't want me to ride my bike, but I was retardedly confident and saying, "Nah I'm fine!". Apparently someone's mum even told me I probably shouldn't ride. I said I was fine, got on my bike and proceeded to ride straight into a pole. Not even wobbles apparently.. I just aimed and rode into it, and fell on to the road.

I got back up, and tried to ride to a friends house.

I woke up in some random front yard.

Bike on the road, bag in the garden, me being rained on.

Fuck's sake that is a sucky way to wake up.

I keep nearly teetering and giving up... going to get a drink and drinking at work.

I hate this job. It's fuckboring.
I'm tired of too much emotion in my household and being poor and feeling like I have to be a fucking emotional and financial cornerstone at all times.

I just sometimes feel like I want to move to the middle of fucking no where and live like a goddamn hermit, and slowly kill myself with substances.

I live a block away from 3 bars, at night there is a constant stream of pedestrian drunks and alkies,amusing at times, Most people, particularly guys, drink incorrectly.

You sound like me at my last job. I was a barista (bartender) at a la-dee-dah wannabe-French restaurant in Berkeley. The boss was a mean old cunt, everybody else who worked there was insane (and at least ten years older than I was), and I would work eight-hour shifts that would spontaneously swing from complete inactivity to crazy activity without warning (though most days it was just boring).

Yeah, unlimited supply of free liquor. Triple-shot gin and tonic with breakfast every morning just to get started.

I'm glad I quit that job. :argh:

It's like you're not allowed two different shots in a glass here but you can but a pints worth of shots and lash them all into one glass at the bar haha.

Correct drinking is: no more than 3 average size drinks per setting and never becoming visibly intoxicated in public. Its really more fun that way and safer.
