It was 4am when residents of the small Californian town of Johnville were awoken to the sounds of what one local described as "a God awful wailing,not of this earth by a long shot".
The wailing came from one Josh Todd who had consumed hallucinogenic mushrooms some time before. Officers were called to the scene and surprise surprise,they encountered a naked man on a unicycle raving and ranting about "the fourth dimension" and "being set free from the physical restraints of his body".
The man was waving his hands in the air as if he didn't care,blissfully unaware of the approaching officers. Once he became aware of the officers,as if he feared for his life,he bolted towards the nearby woods where officers gave chase.
The officers caught up with Josh not long after and restrained him. After giving his name and leading on that he'd consumed the hallucinogenic mushrooms he became agitated. Unfortunately he managed to break free before the officers could get the cuffs on him and he made a quick dash towards the woods once more.
He gave the officers the slip this time and the last thing they heard him say was "take thy medicine you filthy swine and you'll see that the world is in fact divine" and off he went into the night.
Those awoken by his antics were able to confirm that his name was Josh Todd but that he no longer lived in the neighbourhood.
Officers were unable to locate his current address. An official investigation is under way.
