nice finds gtchondatech. cubealicious.
gtchondatech: the rule of thumb is to divide by 10. so if you have 20 grams wet, you have 2 grams dry, 30 grams wet equals 3 grams dry, etc....
i might hit the fields today, if not tomorrow...it rained all day here yesterday in the 352.
good luck everyone.

Thanks for the input everyone! I wound up doing 5 grams. They were not wet but not dry so based on the big one loosing half its weight I applied this ratio and did 5gs. I had mild euphoric feelings along with light sensitivity. Also smells were coming across strong and taste was incredible. I loved them but im not sure I want to up my dosage any time soon. I enjoyed that way too much.
Anyways it was overcasty most of the day and temps were around 70. Plus last night after 2 is was super foggy and it lasted well in to this morning. I went back out last night around 3 and hunted until 430 without finding another single one. Any experienced hunters have any tips for how to cover ground and see them? I was using a small light so people from the road wouldn't see me and I could only see 2 steps in front of me. Is it possible that more shrooms have grown over night? I know that can sometimes fruit fast in the right conditions. Thanks again everyone!

Pins can turn into full size shrooms over night, or it could take days it is all about the conditions.
Ditch the light, your eyes will adjust better and you will probably be able to see better without it.

It's pouring right now in the 813. Supposed to be nice out for the rest of the week. Should be a good week to go hunting... also I have my first pins on my first indoor project. GOOD WEEK!

Yep we are getting some good rain in 239. Seems like temps are about right as well. I hoping sometime this week or this weekend will be soon enough to see some more of those purty Cubes like last week.

cow fields in the city? yes, you will usually have to venture outside of the city in order to find some good fields. however, if you can get to them fields off of 75 are notorious for good finds.

flourishing? not until about late march/april...but you may have some luck here and there given proper weather conditions and location. what area of florida are you in?

I went out today , to only find Pan Ant's. That is usually a indicator of the Cyan's coming a couple days later. Pan Ant's mycelium must grow a little faster.
I will be going back out on Thursday, I'm off all day and am going from one field to the next til dark. I know I can go back to the field that I found the 2 Cyan's in and find some now. For some reason that field is always muggy, I guess the 15+ ponds and 2 small creaks keep it humid.
Anyone going to the Rainbow Gathering this year? Or any other cool events like this.

I went out last night and found 2 mature cubes that were obviously growing well before the rain. One weighed 22g wet and the other 17g. And saw several patties that had tiny pin heads growing. I noticed also that this field must stay wet a while after the rain because it was holding the rain water extremely well. I hope all those pin heads grow up!
