Hey guys. I started my poppies pretty late this year. growing them in pots with good drainage.

didnt have too much luck with many of my seedlings, it got really hot for a while and i forgot to water, a lot of my peat pods dried up... i know they hate being transplanted and through this process I was able to save 3 to 4 plants.

it appears tho that I seem to be stuck within the week 4-5 stage of growth, and unless i'm mistaken i've had these going for 6-7 weeks. unfortunately the past 3-4 days here have been more like spring time weather then summer, but they are only 4.5" to 5" in height, and from what I have read they should be 6"+ and growing? 1 out of the 4 plants has basically stopped getting any bigger and is only an inch tall ('ve all but given up on this one).

I havent seen any buds forming inside yet. if you'd like an image just let me know. these are tasmanian poppies.

Poppies are exactly like human beings they're unpredictable and will not grow to the estimate since they're fussy creatures! the best thing you can do is water daily since they are younglings and hope for the best and also make sure they recieve lots of sunshine.

your expecting to much from your poppies you must understand that you only get as much as you put into your project. by the way nice STRAIN

Glad i helped and also research alittle and ask others since they may know things that i may not know. i have been growing poppies for half a decade and put alot of study and experiments into my project :shrug:

. don't know why but it helped me get a better understanding of what i'm dealing with and the best methods for my little beings.

Unfortunately i'm extremely ill, however i am feeling abit better now since they gave me my prescriptions. that is the reason i was away for a good while and seemly unable to type or write properly but none the else i'm trying my best to get well.

All better now i finished all my Antibotics yesterday and i feel quite fine. been off drugs for at least 4 months now, real proud of myself

I tried to grow some persian blues this summer but none made it idk,what,happened I dont,even think they germinated

Could be for many reasons, weather not suitable, disease, not receiving the right amount of minerals or soil being spoilt by various toxins.
I suggest finding a suitable fertile area and spread about 100 seeds so you have a greater chance of them germinating. I can't be sure why they didn't germinate but i'll guess that the seeds were not mature enough and were harvest too early (Happens very often).
Don't harvest the poppies when they're green unless you only want the opium laxtex.

Hope i helped, describe to me more about the problem of your germination issue...
