Former 'Smallville' actor pleads guilty in Oxycodone bust, faces 20 years December 16, 2010 - Beverly Hills Courier
One of the former stars of "Smallville" pleaded guilty today in Los Angeles to conspiracy to sell more than 10,000 oxycodone pills, a painkiller sometimes called hillbilly heroin.
Sam L. Jones III, 27, (On right) who played Clark Kent's buddy on the TV series for three seasons, entered his plea in Los Angeles federal court.
Jones, who was arrested in October 2009 at his Canoga Park home by U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration agents, was a co-conspirator in a series of drug deals in 2008, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.
Jones was the "Hollywood connection" in a plot to illegally purchase and distribute the drug, according to documents filed in U.S. District Court.
Jones faces up to 20 years in federal prison upon sentencing in June.
Oxycodone is also known by the trade name OxyContin.

Yeah, he's screwed.
I missed that episode. Why was he showering with Superman or was that taken after the show.

Why deal drugs when you're already rich? If I was a celebrity I'd never find the need to deal. O_o

He's not that rich , hes a c-list celebrity at the most. Who knows , he may have known people that actually needed the OC, like people with chronic pain or terminally ill people just trying to get through their last days pain free. Not everyone who uses illegally obtained painkillers are using them to just get high, a lot of people need them and have gotten fucked over by the system so they have to go to the blackmarket for relief.Today's doctors are scared to prescribe them cause they're worried about the DEA. Even hospitals nowadays are cutting back on giving people pain meds while in their primary care. Its fucking ridiculous and I've seen it first hand.

That's really a crock of shit. There are more prescriptions for pain medication now then there ever has been. More drs refuse to prescribe oxycodone for chronic pain because of the addiction potential than any other reason. There are pain management clinics in every state, if you need pain killers you can get them. If there was a lot less regulations there would certainly be a lot more drs dolling them out like candy, but it isn't exactly hard to get prescribed opiates if you have the medical records that show your condition. Its a lot harder to get opiates in most other countries. If your condition is hard to prove such as lower back pain its harder to get prescribed opiates, but its certainly not hard.
