the only thing I can say for sure is that I'm alive right now, living, all I can do is enjoy myself as much as possible, and not expect anything.

A few months ago I had a Mystical Experience, to some degree explaining this. I totally get where this is coming from and I can totally relate. We know nothing and to say this is a less valid or ridiculous theory (not that anyone said this directly nor am I talking to one individual in particular) is ignorant. All I know is that everyone comes and goes to the same place and that because of molecules we are the same. The idea of being everyone is very interesting and I wouldn't be surprised. Aum Mani Padme Hum. I do believe we are God.

Minus the mystic appeal, what's described is evolution. In this light, it's an egg that never actually hatches, so I have an issue with the egg analogy. The ability to hatch is necessary for an egg to be an egg.
Perhaps this is as 'hatched' as it ever was, and evolution is just a bunch of smoke floating up to nowhere.
