I don't have anything quite as impressive as you guys, but I do have some cool shots from the Grand Canyon...
I warn you that I am no pro photographer...

That sky has the most beautiful color of blue, I have ever seen.

Sick pictures of the canyon too. I wanna go there.

Since I was doing it in the summer, it was a pain in the ass.
I got up at 2 to get to the Canyon at 4 (still pitch black).

Took Bright Angel Trail out to Plateau Point. (In case you were wondering.)
Not very tough as long as you pace yourself climbing up.
Just remember that going down is NOT the hard part - coming back is.

I would do the hike again (Even the waking up at 2) in a heartbeat BTW.
Smoking a bowl on Plateau Point without a soul around is AWESOME.
You look around and you can see the Grand Canyon. All of it.

Well, there was one other guy out at Plateau Point with me.
The squirrels are hilariously aggressive. They'll open your bags and rummage through your shit lol.

That's Plateau Point as you approach it. And the Colorado River. If it was deeper, you could almost jump in... (It's only 1000 feet down lol.)

Ah, so you are using HDR in some of those photos! At first I wasn't sure if you were just getting some fucking fantastic exposure times :tongue2:

I haven't tried HDR, but from what I've seen I really need to start playing with it. Do you have a camera with an internal HDR function, or do you shoot bracket exposures and then manipulate digitally?

Really cool stuff man!

I like HDR because you basically can do a long exposure, and then compensate any blown out highlights with something from a shorter exposure, allows you to really clean up an image.  (I don't like those HDR photos that look HDR, I like them looking as natural as possible).

Wow Maverick, those shots are absolutely gorgeous! I am a wannabe photographer (wannabe cuz my shots are nowhere near as good as that )

I have not heard of this HDR before, but I think I might just have to look into it after seeing your photos :drooling:

These two are crazy awesome looking. I can't tell where the sky ends and the water begins. It almost looks like it's upside down.

I'm not sure man I just found it with google images. It's somewhere in the Alps, probably Switzerland.
