Started to erect the flow hood. The woodwork is almost completed. Now I have to focus on the electrical. Not sure how to wire it. As promised here is a pic. http:// http://

Used the search engine and found out a couple things. First RR is/was an electrical enigenear, don't know why this surprized me I guess I figured he was the mountain mushroom man growing kick ass shiitake. Second I need to get a power converter ac to dc. Basically I will be taking it to the local electrical store and ask them. myc

RogerRabbit said: It's a standard 115 volt motor. Tie white on the motor to white on the power cord, and at the other end, white on the power cord goes to the larger of the two terminals on the male plug, which will have a silver colored screw.(neutral). Black or red on the motor goes to black or red on the power cord, and this ties to the smaller terminal on the male plug, which will have a gold colored screw(hot). Green is ground, and goes from the ground(green terminal) on your plug to the green wire on the motor, and these both tie to the grounding screw, which is green, on the chassis.
Use at least 16 AWG wire, but I'd recommend using #14 AWG wire for your power cord. RR
The motor is already set to use AC...NOT DC You just need to add a power cord onto it... Dont use a shitty drop cord...goto walmart and get a nice heavy duty drop cord and cut the female end off... My best guess with the Industry standard the way it is, is that the wires are already colored...just match and go... Green is ground...
