Did you shit fire this morning? I've found I can eat ground up spicy stuff, but when I eat whole peppers with seeds... my "morning glory" definitely wakes me up.

I've got a high tolerance for spicy foods but I dunno about eating a Ghost pepper. I am just getting back to the point where I can somewhat tolerate habaneros, which is good because they are delicious.

Edit: topic read fail. I thought you said you ate it last night for some reason. Oh well... tomorrow morning could be interesting.

Yea i did eat it last night, i made the thread early this morning...

But that first coffee induced shit of the day did have my ass burning a bit haha...Usually spicy foods never bother me all that much when coming out the other end. But this was a bit worse than what i normally experience :smirk: ...

I thought the flavor of the pepper was actually really really good :yesnod:

To put into perspective...

Ghost pepper = 1,041,000 Scoville units

Habanero = 200,000 units

Jalepeno = 5,000 units

No, it was indeed a Ghost Pepper...

My friends did say that my face did turn sorta red, my head and entire body warmed up instantly.

I have just always delt with spicy stuff well, until last night I haven't found a single thing that was "too spicy"...And even with the ghost pepper, it wasn't the best sensation in the world but it was tolerable...

I actually ate em' twice last night...Once just for the hell of it, then later on in the night after a few beers i told my buddy i would eat some if he did...I just wanted to get someone else to try it. But the best part was i knew what was coming and he didn't, the look on his face was great, and he made the mistake of licking his lips :grin: ...

I also got another friend of mine to try just the tip of the pepper...He doesn't do well with spicy foods what so ever, pepperocinis and Jalepenos can be way to much for him...So needless to say, hilarity ensued :rofl2: ...Sweat was damn near dripping down his forehead...

Classic. Its hilarious as hell to watch people handle spicy food. We did that at work one day. The boss brought in some super spicy pepper sauce and was paying to drink some. One guy did it. another tried to do twice as much for more money.

when I came back from lunch across the street they were putting his body into an ambulance at the lobby. Aparently he took of his shirt (keep in mind this was a buisness building, was a brokerage firm) ran to the bathroom splashed water all over himself and yelled like a mad man untill he collapsed. LOL  Crazy shit. He was fine the next day though.

So be careful who you give it to and how much they eat.

anyone eat one of these insane hot peppers and then puke?  I imagine that would be a really horrible experience with the acid breaking down the skin in the back of your throat and mouth  :onfire:

You can't say you ate it till you had a fresh one, really. Totally different experience.

To put it in better perspective still:

Ghost pepper = 1,041,000 Scoville units

Pepper spray to deter attacking grizzly bears = 500.000 SHU

Habanero = 200,000 units

Jalepeno = 5,000 units

These are guys who eat extreme hot sauces by the spoon, watch them munch down on a bhut/Naga Jolokia:

Human mace, surprisingly, contains a more concentrated mixture than bear mace.

Bear mace is only advantageous because it sprays a big area and projects.

Reminds me of the Simpsons episode where Homer eats Guatemalan Insanity Pepper, lol, great trippy sequence in that.

I absolutely love hot peppers and real  hotsauce. I've yet to try a Bhut Jolokia pepper raw, but I've had some sauces containing it (not the extract). Damn hot stuff.

I recently acquired a type of pepper from Peru that I have never heard of called Aji Charapita; they're small, yellow, round peppers that have a pretty decent kick to them, they are in a garlic solution. Very tasty.

I'd love to try a ghost pepper to see how much of a girl it would make out of me.

I'm really sensitive to spices...I think.

A bag of Doritos Spicy is about all I can eat comfortably. And that's If I have a drink with it.

A ghost pepper would most definitely destroy me.
