good price for poppy pods? ($50/lb)
    #13154576 - 09/06/10 12:47 PM (4 years, 2 months ago)

lately, i've become interested in trying some poppy tea.  i've been doing lots of shopping and i think i've found a reasonable deal.  the vendor is offering 1 pound of small (in the pic they look to be about twice as long as a quarter and maybe 1.5 times as wide) american grown dried pods for $50.  does this sound like a bargain?  also, would anyone care to venture a guess as to approx how many pods of this size would likely make up a pound?

You'll regret buying anything smaller than jumbo or mammoth.  Keep in mind, that market prices have gone up 300 - 400 percent in recent months due to shortages and the Govt cracking down on this trade.  Also, be prepared for a full on physical addiction and an empty pocketbook.

No, I believe he's saying that the larger ones will contain more alkaloids simply because they're bigger... But I suppose if you're buying by the lb it shouldn't really matter.

In my experience the small ones contain little to no actives.  The large ones are 5 fold as strong....trust me...

Actually, the mediums are pretty decent as well. It's just a hassle to have to crack down 20 for each dose so it's best to make the whole brew at once.
At any rate, there have been some major shortages. Might as well stock up before moronic druggies that take poundfuls of the shit ruin it for people who really need it for pain.  They will have to pry my pods out of my cold dead hands. And god forbid if you need a fucking lortab they look at you like it's pleutonium or something.  As we all know america health system sucks a big cock.  Fuck the system

I don't think there is any difference in alkaloid content, between sizes. From my experience, I've come to enjoy the smaller sizes as I think you get more weight this way.
