 Looking in the mirror

For me, looking in the mirror whilst tripping is one thing I try to stay away from. The reason for this is that every time I do, I seem to see in myself everything that I despise. For the most part it will put a bad spin on the trip, but I've had trips where looking in the mirror will morph it into a fully fledged bad trip.
However lately, I've not been tripping often, and the last time I did was on a holiday to Amsterdam where myself and two friends bought some mushrooms and went to the zoo. Upon my first trip to the bathroom, I was apprehensive about looking in a mirror, but when I reached it I found that I did not get the feeling of self loathing that I almost always experience otherwise.
I'm thinking that this somehow reflects the fact that lately I've been a happier person who is more at peace with myself.
Does anyone else feel they have a similar problem with mirrors and their reflection while tripping?

I've noticed the way you see yourself in the mirror depends a lot on the state of mind you are in (i'm not talking about tripping only), and your present mood.
tripping, I usually love how my face looks. I find it perfect. (I'm good looking so it's pretty easy for my mind)

Seriously I love mirrors as well. I find it sooo cool to look at myself with a new perspective. I usually decide whether or not to shave when I'm tripping.lol I DON'T actually shave but I decide it's time.
I've always wanted to get lost in a house of mirrors tripping. I think it would be fucking hilarious, always finding yourself around every turn.

It could be in part due to the fact that you'll sometimes look at yourself in the mirror and be like, "Damn, you're one sexy motherfucker!"
But other times you are like, "Fuck, I need to hit the gym/shave/get a haircut or I'm never going to be able to go out in public".
But it's polar extremes while tripping I think, mid last year I ate a bunch of HBWR seeds and I couldn't even bring myself to look at the mirror a second time, I looked like the most fucked up individual I'd ever seen.
That being said, I probably looked pretty gross anyway (had the trip sweats real bad, coupled with crazy hair, huge pupils and a fucked up expression on my face) so maybe it's that.
However, it seems that the disgust I feel is focused more inward than on how I look on the outside.

I feel the same way. When I look at myself in the mirror while tripping its a really enjoyable experience. For some reason I find myself really admiring the shape of my face, my hair, the color of my eyes. It feels as if I'm much more handsome than normal (although I am a looker to begin with).
I feel as if I'm looking into the past at the face of a very primal, ancient person. I start thinking about all the thousands of years of evolution and all the generations of DNA from my ancestors that eventually combined to create me, and how beautiful the end result is.
Maybe you need to work on learning to love yourself Rembrandt. Leave the past behind, forgive yourself for all the shit you regret and focus on taking actions that make you feel good about yourself. Try to live a life that you can look back on with happiness and appreciation. Maybe then your mirror experiences will be more consistently positive

mirrors tripped out me. I could see myself looking at myself from the real world and then feel myself looking at myself from the mirror world - and it kept switchiing perception back and forth and back and forth - lasting only a fraction of a section in each perception....
It was crazy. Dosing on lucy tonight and definitely booking mirror time

ive found and lost myself while gazing into mirrors on acid. It always seems to dig into your psyche
just weird shit to
my body once disappeared momentarily
my dong has stretched to the floor
ive seen myself at different ages
peeing in the dark on acid trying to find the toilet and keep it hitting the water is quite a task

usually when i look in a mirror when im high, its to check my pupils to see if im ok to go get more beer! i might also have a silent conversation with myself for a minute too.

true dat... i feel that i get lost in my eyes while tripping and looking in a mirror, then when i find myself i'm normally about .00000687 of an inch away from the glass if not touching it..
its not a bad thing.. just sometimes you ask yourself am i the real me or did the mushrooms put me in the mirror and pull the other me out..
that being sai i think that most people go into a bad trip from that locked down part of your memories as a child and realizing everything in the mirror is opposite of you.. the whole good/evil schpeil and the mushies opening those locks.

First time I tripped in general was on MG seeds, and I went to the bathroom and looked in the mirror. Craziest thing i've ever seen, i saw myself aging and with a beard and kind of took a whole tour of me throughout my entire life it was amazing! My tie dye shirt was breathing with a little delay of that of my actual breath..super cool
