Nice libs. They look so good when they're fresh and juicy.

Those are some nice beefy libs, most the others I've seen posted from this season seem so skinny in comparison.

Nice to see more photos from that bog. I find it very unusual to find them together with that kind of moss.

Thanks for the habitat shots!

Do you know any of the moss, grass, or tree species in and around the bog?

I know that trees that grows around that bog are birch and alder. Moss is peat moss cant tell any better.
Also there where some other mushrooms species fruiting, like Galerina paludosa, Hypholoma myosotis and some brown Inocybe sp.

Parks: Yes nice place to hunt, very chill only unpleasant things are deer flys they really like to take a bite at you..

Thanks all of you guys for your nice replies

I'm very jealous... very nice finds. Here In Estonia I just spotted my first liberty cap ever - unfortunately it was behind a fence and there were people around. I hope I can find a spot just like yours. Cheers

"...I found dozens of single specimens.  That's what I call hunting.  There are only a few "good" hunters here, even now.  You're certainly in that group.  I would imagine if we hunted together we'd find our styles are similar."

RIP Matt, your friendship and your contributions to the world of fungi will be missed. Unfortunately we never got to hunt together.
