cheers azura.. yeah i ended up throwing a few of the more dodgy ones away, considered it to be more safe than sorry. The last picture you can see a bit of the white stuff i was talking about on the inside if you look closely. I dunno if that is natural or its mould.. most of the other ones don't look like that though.

There's a few people in this thread who find their subs in Sydney.
You just need to know where and when to look.

Yes yes I know :/, but the thing is I would absolutely love to find them close to home. If I was really serious about it i would have probably gone deeper into the blue mountains when the season started and i would have found something 4sure! This year i've been watching the weather forecasts around my area like crazy, hoping to pick up on perfect weather conditions for subs. Now it seems like the time is right, Its been raining lightly all day for the last 4 days and the forecast for this week is minimums of 4c and highs of 17c.

I'm pretty sure you could find subs within 1/2 drive of your house!! They are more not as rare as you would think. That said I havent had any luck this year.

yea I keep telling myself that steve, I mean if i can collect Saffron Milk caps from the neighbors front yard 5 houses down, i gotta be able to find subs somewhere round here. The Milk caps only fruit once a year after the fortnight of rains in april easter time. Thats when i started hunting for subs... no luck this year (Last year i was looking for cubes in mulch in winter time lol, im a bit educated this year )

which kind of suburb areas do u look in? parks? landscape? mulch area? I've been finding heaps of inactives in mulchy area. Esp area all the mulch in my uni. Subs are rare, i always find the look alike ones, like gallerinas and cortinarius.
I'm gonna go hunt now and see wat i can find.

Lord Mayo posted some beautiful pics of his P.Sub season. I recommend having a look at his pictures. Some high quality macro shots along with some habitat shots too.
Nice one Mayo.

Useitorloseit, I'm gonna spread the love so close to your house that subs will be a bigger pest for you than march flies hanging around a cow's ass and the only walking you will have to do will have to do will be to the fridge and back to grab another damn vodka whilst tripping fn balls..

Mate most of the pics I have posted this season were found on the central coast. Probably too late in the season now to find anything though.

sroomer - if the pins are still producing I would stick with what you have now.
Can you tell us a rough location of where you are in NSW, I am surprised the cube season has already started - Monday night must have been one of the coldest nights we have had where I live all winter.

My sub season is coming to an end now too but there is this one spot where one big healthy one keeps popping up every week or two. Even though it's only one I still go and get it lol.
Would love to get my hands on a cube print cause I don't think they grow round Sydney and it's hard to find a place that's far enough away from houses to have a good look.
