yeah thanks, i edited the post with nevermind cause I found a different thread. I looked at walmart and homedepot.com and they aren't popping up any of the timers mentioned in the threads.. I was wondering if theres a specific NAME for those sorts of timers, cause "cycle timers" seem to be very very expensive, and i know timers for hydroponics lights aren't 100-300$

what are you trying to put on the timer? i use one on my utrasonic w/ 15 minute cycles, it was like $15 at ace hardware. my local hydro store has a 3 second cycle digital for $20, so dont write them off completely. i wish i had checked with them before i bought mine. i think theyre starting to figure out what im up to though, i only go in there for giant bags of verm. but im paranoid.

Don't pay more than about $5 for a basic timer.

Well, the one my friend gave me for free has 8 on/offs per day, so i set it up for 15 min every 3 hrs, and i'm seeing how that works.
Yah, I get paranoid about the hardware store too, I must have gone to like 20 different places looking for Lye, and most the places told me "oh they stopped making that" and I was shocked that they'd say something like that, and then the other places only had it granular, for like a 30 mile radius. I finally found a place a few towns over that sells small bags. Home Depot/Walmart also told me they quit making vermiculite. I thought vermiculite was harvested, not made. but I found a local store that used to sell the fine grade that now only sells course =/ Shits getting tricky.
Hell, even my last batch of poo didn't work out. It all looks/smells/seems dry and fine just like last years, but when you pasteurize it, it starts smelling like rotten eggs and god awful. Never happened before that way
but yeah, the timers, I really gotta find one. I dont think I have a local ace hardware, is there a specific TYPE of timer these timers people use for this are called? SOMETHING timers?
can you folks maybe link me to these timers you're all finding/seeing at walmart and places I've already looked/checked/called/ web browsed? please? maybe its just not in my region?
