WA subs? & new dehydtator :)
    #12970930 - 07/29/10 08:36 AM (1 year, 6 months ago)

Some of the find my mate brought back from a drive dow south of Western Australia  Will hopefully b going back down with him to hunt for some next rainfall. I'm 99% sure their subs, but a confirmation would be appreciated

Gills: Dark brown to almost black in burised areas.
Stem: Light brown with some whitish sections on the more untouched areas, darker brown & slight blueish bruising on lightly touched areas, some darker brown parts on more heavy briusing. up to about 5mm wide on large stems & 2/3mm wide on smaller stems.
Cap: Light golden brown on top & darker brown on bruised areas.
Spore print color: The bigger more developed ones looked a bit manky & bruised for a sucessfull spore print so I haven't bothered.
Location: Western Australia.

Also I got a dehydrator today, as I'll b getting more than myself & friends can eat this weekend. Hopefully the situation with the people I'm living with will improve eventually & I can start growing my own at home Instead of having to buy off mates & go hunting..... Although I do kinda like hunting  Its nice to go walking out in the forrest.

I've got them drying at 55 degrees Celsius which shouldn't be too hot. (plz correct me if I'm wrong though, as I haven't ever had enough excess shrooms or time to dry them before)

Cultivating mushrooms is fun, but going hunting is the bestest shit ever, so even if I have closets full of more mushrooms than I could ever eat, you'll still find me out there even if it's pouring down like all hell broke loose.

hells ya, i agree 100%!! hunting is by far the best, most enjoyable way to get mushrooms and like GK said even if i have enough and the weather is shitty i'll still be out there too.

nice subs and you'll love the dehydrator. i ve been using them for over 10 years and in the old days people used to say you would lose potency from using them but its totally bullshit. i have 9 month old libs that still knock my socks off!

Yeah I love the outdoors, I go hiking & mountain bike riding regularly  The thing that adds to hunting is you also have the bonus excitement of being on a sort of treasure hunt
Heres a photo of one of the places I go riding.
