I've look in graveyard before but found jack shit... not sayin its impossible but i reckon its unlikely you would find any! Try sheep pastures!

Don't get you r hopes up mate you certainly won't get enough for a decent trip yet and I wouldn't waste your time too much with the graveyard. Get out in the country grass fields (sheep/cows/nettles/thistles) for the big finds!
Down get yourself downheartened expending energy looking too hard at the min... you could disregard a field that seemed empty just because you visited too early in the season.

I think I found one today, had a nice nipple. Was with company so quickly popped it in my pocket. When I came to have a look at it, it had turned into a dark mush. I forgot how quickly they do that!

thanks for the advice everyone. ill probably be going weekly adventures all autumn and there is no harm in starting early. part of the reason is that a guy told me his mate found some recently but he might be talking sheepshit! it is a good sign that other mushrooms are growing though isnt it? or am i being naive?

Well the current weather is pretty good, especially up Scotland way. Cool and wet. So you might find a couple if you look in the right spots. Not enough rain here but it's forecast tomorrow so I shall soon have a little look also. Very early though of course.
