 seriously... wtf is with this sudden lag on fallout3 on my ps3??

so I popped in fallout 3 after a few months of not playing it, the lag is so bad it's hard to play... especially when there's enemies and shit on screen.
this wasn't an issue the last few hundred times I played it... what the fuck might be causing this?

The lens could be dirty. Back when I was using my PS2 my games started to lag one day.. Ran a lens cleaning DVD and that fixed my problem. Perhaps this is the case for you.
Make sure to get one made for PS3 if you use one.

but wouldn't that mean most of his other games would lag to? I have heard fallout has had a a bunch of problems on the ps3 even after patches and such
to the op, try making a new game from scratch and see if it still lags, purhaps you patched the game and it screwed your game saves up
