Stuck Keif Catcher

hey has anyone ever had trouble opening the keif chamber on a grinder? i can't for the life of me seem to get the thing open, is there a trick what this happens? i figure it just from all the keif built up in the thread, and i tried freezing it and ever holding it over a flame and still fail...

help a stoner out! thanks

Try heading the outer part w a lighter for a while. I've never done it but seems like it might help the metal expand a bit while also heading up the sticky shit in between the threads.

happened to me i got a knife in the groove for awhile and slammed the side a bunch. ive heard warm water does the trick though i've never tried

He doesn't want to ruin all the beautiful kief though! I would stay away from water.

invest in some of those wrenches that use a rubber band instead of metal so it wont damage the grinder.

I agree with the strap wrench post. Its what I was planning to suggest. I have a set of three that I used to use quite frequently when working on paintball markers.
