Habitat:they were growing off a trail in a wooded area, in washington state. their were some wood chips but I'm not really sure if thats what they were growing on seemed to be more in dirt.
Gills:whithish to brown with age. attached
Stem: white/light brown, about 3 inches tall, thin stem, hollow, scales on the bottom
Cap:maybe an inch, caramel/yellow brown, conical flattening out with age(sometimes but not all mature were flat)
Spore print color: brown, some of the mushrooms seemed to have pinkish/purplish spore deposits on them but not alot of spores on the mushrooms. and when I take pictures of the prints they dont look like the same color.
Bruising: not brusiing blue, light brown , I'm not sure how much these are goona bruise cause I know their weak like stunzii and those dont always bruise much.
Other information:
       here are some habitat photos

Hey! They look promising! Tear a fresh cap apart gently. Is there a thin skin (pellicle) that separates from the cap?

Yes, microscopy. Send samples to members who can scope them out for you...I'd like a spore print or two too, please! It's an uncommon find as far as I can tell.

this is awesome!! they look nothing like pellys i find, well some of them do with the thin stems but you have fuckin huge specimens! when i have found them they are small and all bell shaped. yours are so big, the stems are sooo thick, the caps soo caramel typical potent psilocybe color. this is an amazing find in my opinion and i hope you get these prints out as there should be NO pilocybes in the forest in spring in the PNW!! i think they may be something else.
any blueing yet?? can you take a pic of the spore print?
good week for prints Bob from the pnw !
